I didnt watch it but I think I read there are several different shows interlinked. Is one called Banana? I can't remember the others.

Shows like this show great daring and get reviewed well critically but they do tend to flop as they don't appeal to a wide audience.

, too much sex before 11pm,

The watershed is 9pm not 11pm

Didn't watch it - I prefer my drama to be inclusive not exclusive to any one group -bit like real life is !

It's Russell T Davies, so it's going to be camp but exploratory. He's the guy who resurrected Dr Who, and has some interesting ideas including this one split over 3 networks Cucumber/Banana/Tofu

personally i never watched it, but i think the 9pm Watershed is pointless these days as all channels apart from BBC have +1 channels and then you have iplayer, 4oD, itvplayer etc. so programmes can be watched at any time of day

Indeed they do but aren't all password protected if you want to watch a after 9pm broadcast before 9pm ? Certainly works that way with Virgin.

You also posted. The thread about the mcdonalds security guard who told a gay man not to kiss another.

Do I detect a theme here?

I just watched the first episode of banana. I think that was on thursday also. I thought cucumber was challenging enough, but banana seem to push the boundry more.

I know most who have contributed on this thread, have not seen cucumber or banana, but instead, have focused on the watershed. I will be really interested in hearing from others who actually seen the two dramas. Banana seem to focus on the young crowd, but with connections with cucumber. Were there any complaints?
