    Hmm

So if there another section to add non gift aided charity donations? ..otherwise may just leave the 150 out completely

Are you a HR taxpayer? If not - whether you include or not makes no difference to your tax bill (unless you pay no tax at all)

'Are you liable to pensions savings tax charges' - no I think :/

Try this for the tax charges on pensions contributions.

In other words, unless you paid more than £40,000 into your private pension that is a "no"

  • Guess same for income tax losses. If I don't know what it means it generally doesn't apply to me. That's my rule of thumb.

    Thank you

Have you a business which incurred losses in 2013/14? If not, the answer is No!

If you have - well, one would expect to hear from you again!

I filled in my tax return today but haven't actually sent it yet. Afterwards, it, it told me the closing date was 15 February 2015. I'm confused - I thought 31 January was the closing date?

I was director of a company for part of the year (but didn't draw any salary or dividends) and was on JSA for the rest, so there was nothing to pay. Does that make a difference to the filing date?

Also, I declared the interest on my redundancy pay but I didn't see anywhere to declare JSA - did I miss something?

Doh! The reason it's been extended is:
"The new date applies to taxpayers who between midnight on 21 January and midnight on 31 January this year, signed up for the self-assessment online service or requested a replacement user ID or password."
