I fail to see how it would break his hand if they're grabbing at your keys.0 -
Since this is not hypothetical why not tell us what happened?0

If I shoot at your head and miss by an inch, did I nearly kill you? Yes. Are you nearly dead? No.0 -
I might be worried that someone is trying to steal my car and react suitably (violently) and claim self defence as I was in fear of my life.0

I have.
A very serious case of dangerous driving occurred. The cyclist then pursued the offending driver, switched off their ignition, and told them off; and is now facing the dilemma of whether or not they themself will be liable for prosecution if they make a complaint, by their own admission of the events.0 -

"Nearly killed" != "Nearly dead".

I reckon you would have to be a pretty poor shot then :whistle:PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

Have you done something unreasonable?
If you haven't why all the questions?0 -
And so it descends into a debate about the definition of 'nearly killed'. I do wonder about MSE forums sometimes!0

I really wouldn't worry about it, the police are highly unlikely to be interested in pursuing anything related to the incident, even if they were, your helmet cam footage is unlikely (in the absence of any independent witnesses) to be suitable evidence to prosecute.0
