balanced view ? You don't get out much then I see because everyone I know is aware of the BBC bias and this is the latest thing they seem to enjoy doing while getting paid with TV Licence money

no I dont get out much (cant afford to :( ) I get my balanced view of the news by watching ITV news, GMTV,occassionally I will watch 5 news and CNN. I also read the metro and often teletext for the news highlights.
see - balanced without BBC (which is what I was getting at before...;) )

Cheers for posting those...if you look at my post above, these are the news stories I was referring to when I said the BBC were forced to apologise to the Tories.

Maybe the BBC is biased...but if the Tories say they're biased, Labour hate them and say they're biased, the LibDems criticise them, the BNP hate them...that nutter Kilroy (where's he gone recently, anyway?) definitely hates them...then they're doing something right in my book.

guppy the BBC are biased and have admitted it

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=411846&in_page_id=1770

They've just been caught out editing wiki 7000 times too which shows how bloated the biased saddests are too.

Oh and guppy if they were doing something right in your book then YOU wouldn't mind paying for them via subscription while the other 75% of us is set FREE from them

When I get my tax refund back for the services I don't use, I'll be the first to subscribe. Not holding my breath though ;)

I know they're biased too, I read about in my mate's Sun yesterday. Its here too:

Thank god we still have newspapers like the Sun and Daily Mail to give us an independent view.

Why are the BBC trolls so obsessed with trying to change the topic ? Could it be that you have no real arguments for your employer so tend to just keep talking tripe

Yes, yes I am a spy from the BBC AND Al Quaida AND the CIA AND The KGB. Our sole purpose is to come onto this forum and annoy you. That, in fact is why our organisations were set up, all of them. And the police too.

All this stuff about making TV programmes and protecting the national interest of various countries is just a front, we all exist to persecute you!

(P.S. I DID get to do something for the BBC this week, for the electric proms, a short film called Slippin, it will be shown on the opening night of the electric proms, wich was unpaid, but then again I just started out acting, so that's only to be expected. In your face anti licence fee people! I now officially couldn't give a crap about your opinon!)

And whilst we're on the subject of tripe, it's full of iron, so eat up. (We also run the tripe promotions league)

I could give a crap about your opinion, actually. I was drunk when I wrote that. Maybe I should drink more, I much prefer feisty me

Shall we just all agree to disagree, and those opposed to the licence fee take their suggestions and feelings to their local MPs and try and get something changed?

I think we should have the Beeb or equivalent but the licence fee still rankles, I'm not sure how else it can be funded. Perhaps another way should be found to pay for it. Suggestions?
My problems are that I resent the way in which when you don't have a tv you get the agressive/intimidating letters threatening you with all sorts. I know that they say you can phone them to say that you don't have a tv. I refused to pay the cost of a phone call and put their letters in the fire. As far as I know you only have to tell them that you have and are using a tv not that you don't. Also where I live terrestrial tv is unwatchable because of hills and trees in the way of the transmitter, so we've been forced to get Sky (no cable within at least 150 miles). The digital helpline didn't help:- could give a date for giong digital and said if we were getting a crap analogue signal (only just watchable) then it was unlikely that we'd get any digital signal as it's all or nothing. So were stuck with paying the licence fee and Sky subscription or no tv.
