Just making a money saving suggestion on this money saving site. That she could save money by not leaving electrical appliances on when she ain't there. If she wanted her electricity usage to be private, she wouldn't have posted it on a public forum.

Why are the BBC trolls so obsessed with trying to change the topic ? Could it be that you have no real arguments for your employer so tend to just keep talking tripe

You lot never cease to amaze me with your selfish arrogance

What lot do you think I belong to? That would be the law abiding sort.

The BBC TV Licence was designed to replaced the Radio licence and to solely fund the mighty BBC

And the pdf file posted by Tetsuko proves beyond any doubt that since 20 January 2006 the BBC television licence ceased to exist and became a tax to receive any broadcast signal.

Pity this fact doesn't suit your agenda. Don't blame the BBC because this Labour Gov't. hijacked the licence fee to pay for the digital switch over. Your complaint is with Labour not the BBC.

Yes you have admitted numerous times that you are a thief.

You're either brainwashed or expect people to believe that tripe

You are the one who is blinkered and brainwashed as you refuse to accept that the Licence Fee no longer exists, as you describe. Your posting history is 151/152 posts about the non existent Licence Fee, proving you're the only Troll here.

Would you contribute towards my cable TV ?

As you don't pay the Broadcasting tax, then I already do. Your cable provider does not produce all of the content that you receive, and some of it will be received from a terrestrial broadcast.

I won't waste any more of my time on you.:wall:
    I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.

No the arrogant minority who expect the majority to be forced into paying for their beloved BBC

Do you actually think your kidding anyone here CM ? Everyone knows the radio licence funded the mighty BBC until they replaced it with the BBC TV Licence
Yes you have admitted numerous times that you are a thief.

Hey I'm proud that I don't subsidise your entertainment ;) Perhaps one day you'll have to pay for it yourself via subscription

    Oh ?
as you describe. Your posting history is 151/152 posts about the non existent Licence Fee, proving you're the only Troll here.

Refusing to like and fund the mighty BBC doesn't make someone a troll. You however attacking people who refuse to subsidise you is acting like one

What I watch is paid for by Adverts and a subscription fee so get a life and move on because I pay for my own way in life unlike some

Yes but don't forget of the thousands of pounds I've saved over the years by not paying for you
  • Defiant- If you have such issues with the BBC why don't you just throw your T.V. away and don't pay the licence fee. The BBC does have its flaws as with any huge corporation but it is funded by us-the people, its mandate is for the people and even if you just watch the 10 o'clock news and news night for one week and compare what is being said with the papers you'll understand why it is important we keep the BBC. In an era were we are force fed ideas and views by the papers who are independently owned and consequently it would be naive to believe that they cannot be bought, the BBC offers an infinitely more balanced view point. News night, for example has representatives from the main political parties plus others, whereas the Telegraph newspaper offers only a conservative view. I know you can argue that buying a newspaper is a free action of choice, but you would have to buy all the papers on the stand to gain a balanced view of what is going on in the world, and you would be ignorant to believe what is said in one newspaper only. The BBC brings about a more balanced view in their news and for that alone we as a country should be grateful, and we should resist the political movement that is trying to destroy the BBC. Without it we will be blindly saluting the flag, ignorantly banging the war drum and unable to point to Iraq on a map.

I stumbled across David Blunkett's column in that nasty rag The Sun last weekend in which he was moaning about a BBC programme that criticised his beloved ID cards. He seemed to have the right hump.

Today I read the BBC have been forced to apologise twice for upsetting those loons, the Tories for various reasons.

The Lib Dems have been moaning about the new BBC chairman and I've no doubt the BNP hate the BBC too (they seem to hate everyone).

I'm sure Labour will never forgive the BBC over the David Kelly Inquiry.

So my point is...if they're peeing so many politicians off...surely they must be doing right? For me, that's almost worth £130 alone!

P.S. Welcome back Defiant, I was almost starting to miss your rantings. Glad to see you are back to form.

Proof that you havern't even bothered reading this thread no you've just jumped in with all guns blazing (firing blanks). I don't pay for the BBC TV Licence and I do watch true FTA TV and subscription something the BBC fans should be doing instead of expecting others to fund them

    Ps nice first post ;)

sorry - really confused :confused::confused: what does the BBC have to do with war and iraq???? - co-incidently, if you were slightly observant at school (especially in Geography and history) it would be in this establishment you would learn where iraq is and why the flag is saluted.

the BBC is not the be all and end all. if the BBC fell on its backside, I would still know why the flag is saluted (same as the people who saluted it BEFORE tv existed), why people 'bang their wardrum' and I would still be able to point out iraq on a map - it borders turkey. I learnt all this at school and from stories from parents and grandparents not the BBC.

the BBC may bring a balanced view but you can still get a balanced view from watching the other news channels - if you have freeview or sky etc there are at least 6 news channels as well as the terrestrial ones

balanced view ? You don't get out much then I see because everyone I know is aware of the BBC bias and this is the latest thing they seem to enjoy doing while getting paid with TV Licence money
    Editing of Wikipedia
In August 2007, searches on Wikipedia Scanner revealed that BBC employees had made nearly 7,000 anonymous edits to Wikipedia. These included an edit to the George W. Bush article which replaced his middle name "Walker" with "!!!!!!", a popular insult in the UK.[40]
