  • Hi, I bought the Hardys stamp red wine on Monday. I bought 3 bottles. I got the match points but the More points didn't show on receipt. After much discussion with CS, the store manager was called. He said give it 72 hours and they should appear. I kept checking my app and they never did, so today I went back in. CS just added 4500 points on for me with no hesitation.

I've had more points not show as well, but I always check my receipt and go straight to cs where they add it.

I've never had them try to fob me off by telling me they would turn up later though! I'd just return the wine if they didn't give me the points :rotfl:

I thought the beer (specifically the Leffe Nectar) may be good, if it's cheaper elsewhere. Then I saw this:

    Leffe Nectar Beer (750ml)

    Store_2.15px.png
    [Strike]£2.96[/Strike]:( £2.50 33.3p / 100ml

    Store_8.15px.png£2.99
    Store_3.15px.png ---

:(Not happy that they very likely fell for an A r'back offer showing on the shelf!

Then I saw the mbuy on the 3 for £5 cider on the receipt:( - won't help as that's reducing A's individual prices.

However... where are they?!? They bought Cider 501015385286, 287 and 288 - and none of them have appeared on the comp.? They're not there are they? I keep looking several times at that comp. and can't see any of them at all. Are there any items that are on msm? Is any one of these three a trigger?

    Same comp. vs T, S and W:

Might be some Rosemary cheaper in Aldi?

Sains. comp is useless - all the comparables are more than 10% cheaper, none of the own brands would compare vs A and the only own brand 'worth' trying (the Uncle Ben's) is still cheaper in Morries so matching S to A would not be a best price (presumably what S want:p). V expensive price on rice even at 10% off M's price.

Jelly Biactol, do you have any other confirmations of items comparing good vs M as the APG was £2.22 but the Chicken Style Burgers alone would only contribute £1.66? TIA.

A very pleasant afternoon with the 4 year old, who loved her Costa hot chocolate with the works :D

Dropped her off home then went visiting as I didn't want to come home in the middle of the school run  so I popped in to see my parents and then my nephew and niece :D

I was actually thinking today as I popped round asda they all seemed at ease the muggles :D
Not one of them re positioning items in their trolley
None of them seemed to be counting
Never saw one trolley stacked high with 1 particular item
No one peeling the outer leaf off a sprout for their gerbil
No one on their knees trying to reach to the back of the shelf or standing on the bottom shelf to kindly restock for Asda
No checking phones, scanning barcodes in fact it looked like a leisurely stroll just throwing random items in with no concern for size/price/old new packaging nothing
Not even a flump to be seen

    Good afternoon all

Think I checked every item off that list doing my last shop.

Who's that crazy lady on the floor using a roll of cling film to prize out that last can at the back of the bottom shelf - oh yes, that's me alright :rotfl:

but what if the 4286th person left approximately 7/10 of the way through the 1st match. surely the announcer would then be correct :D

I know its still not a whole number
...or what if the 4286th person was involved in a horrific hotdog stand accident and had his arm severed and so became 7/10th of who he/she was?:D

They don't mean that though - we have news presenters on the BBC - one in particular seems to me although I won't name and shame - says things like "It's exactly 4.31." In fact it's 4.31 and 15 seconds when he (it is a he:D) says that. So, it's not exactly 4.31 at all.

Except that, I suppose you could argue that anything from 4.31.00 to 4.31.59.9999999... is all "4.31":rotfl:. To me, however, 4.31.00 is 4.31 - although the digital transmission always makes them about 4 seconds late by the time what they've said in actuality gets to us. (And, on the i-Player, they're over a minute behind, even when watching "live", so that the time check, really, isn't exact.) Only I would 'know', or be concerned, with such things:rotfl:.:D:rotfl:

Anyway, I guess the word "exactly" isn't meant to be taken literally;):rotfl:. (I've concluded that nothing that the vast majority of people ever say ever is:rotfl:.)

Im a "roughly" kinda girl in my thinking savvy ..... My 6 year old has Aspergers though so I find myself having "literal" conversations every day, I am trying to adjust to his way of thinking to avoid conflict :o

    6000 / 1.40 = 4285.714285714286 - not a whole number of people

    4285 * 1.40 (100% + 40%) = 5999 people
    4286 * 1.40 (100% + 40%) = 6000.4 people

edit: really should catch up instead of replying as i go :rotfl:

Thanks for the help anyhoo Munqui, I think we spent too much time on percentages this week, me and dd went a bit number blind for a bit :rotfl:
