  • My dad has kindly offered to pay for Ds and I to go to London on the train and go to the Natural history museum. I'm thinking we might stay over and see a musical as well. Charlie and the chocolate factory or Matilda (depending on cost). Is there an easy way of planning where to stay in relation to theatre, museum etc. London is soooooooo huge it seems miles from each other.

I haven't been to London for years but have you looked in your local travel agents/online etc sometimes they have theatre breaks where you get travel, over night accommodation and show tickets.
Might be a starting point as the hotels are usually quite close by then you could compare to booking them separately for a more :money: deal...

London may be huge, but the tube makes it sooo easy to get around, even for a northerner like me! As long as you choose a hotel close to a tube station, it really doesn't matter where you stay - everywhere is accessible. Just get day tube passes for all your family and you can hop on and off anywhere and any time you want.

    Have a great trip! :D
