I could send you a care package. :p My store always seems to have them fully stocked when I order.

    and there's the rub :(

As much as I think that's completely OTT, I have ordered a much smaller value of Udis/Persil recently and has been pointed out time and again it's hypocritical to say you shouldn't do something that you yourself are doing, even if you are doing it a hell of a lot less.

That's why I don't pass judgement anymore (Don't get me wrong, I roll my eyes right back in my head a lot but I've kept schtum for a long time because there is no point telling someone not to do something that they are obviously hell bent on doing)

It's a question of where to draw the "line" and we all have different ideas. i.e

If £10 is acceptable, is £15?
Well, if £15 is acceptable, is £20?
    etc
    etc
Well, if £95 is acceptable is £100?

My personal opinion is this is simply asking for trouble, but as long as this amount can be reached in one transaction people will do what they will to suit themselves :(

My sincere hope is that A will impose the £15 cap again. Not so much to stop people doing such large shops in the first place but to stop the whole "that's ridiculous/too high" debates that rip the thread apart. If there was a £15 cap then we wouldn't have the unrest that comes with it and we could all just get along happily

Instead this will cause a lot of unrest and ill feeling, a lot of showboaters will come out of the woodwork to gloat and a lot of seasoned posters will retreat to FB. What good comes of any of this? :wall:

No doubt this post will get ripped apart and it will be labelled as a "do as I say, not as I do" lecture but c'est la vie. Whatever someone thinks I do or don't do is of little concern to me

    Good post.

    Congratulations.

Welcome back tiger, you have been busy.
  • Thanks again everyone who wished me well for my interview :)

Can I ask a question please? I’m unsure about how to reply when they ask why I want to leave my current job. I spoke about this with OH and he said to talk about wanting new challenges, however the more I think about this, the more I think it’s the wrong thing to say :undecided I don’t want challenges, so if I say I want them and there aren't any then they may not give me the job for that reason, and if there are no challenges it will be perfect for me.

In my current job I feel like my boss doesn’t want me there. She wants to do all the work herself and almost every day there’s not enough work for me but if I look at my phone she gets annoyed so I try to stretch out work and sometimes look at junk emails because I’m so bored. I think it was her husband’s idea to take on another person because he doesn't like her spending so much time at work, however she doesn't want this. There’s loads of other stuff I could do that she moans she still has to do, such as bank reconcilations, which I’ve done before in other jobs but she won’t let me touch them :(

So my question is is it ok to say some of the above if asked why I want to leave? Obviously not go into all the detail but can I say I want to feel as if I’m needed and that I have a job to do and in my current job I don’t feel as though there is a job there for me and that there’s not enough work to keep me busy. I’ve tried creating spreadsheets but been told not to do that. Much of the time I’m bored. Is it ok to say this at my interview? TIA

Just tell them that you dont feel appreciated in your current employment because you employer does not give you the responsibility nor the opportunity to work off your own initiative and you feel that you are not getting any job satisfaction, stress to them how much of a conciensious worker you are and how you feel your duties would be better appreciated elsewhere hence why you feel you are a suitable candidate for this opportunity. Good luck. x

I also hope asda reduce the apg limit to £15. Some people are going to ruin a good thing getting apgs of £100+. It's plain crazy. I prefer to hide in a forest than stand out like a sore thumb saying 'here I am, come and get me\ban me\arrest me'
