Well as we all seem to be disclosing who we really are
;), I have been masquerading as 3Dogs when I had become 2Dogs, 0Dogs, then 1Dogs, and 2Dogs, but finally, today I became 3Dogs again :j
And here's the beauty - meet Noela, an old girl, stray from Romania, rescued from the 'killing Shelter' Pallady Christmas 2013, hence her name, and been in private shelter since until I offered her a home. I picked her up from a very cold car park off the M1 in Leicestershire today, and she was absolutely terrified!! Had to carry her inside the house in her crate, with help from a friend who I also picked up a little blind dog for, and just give her time to settle a bit. She is still frightened when I go anywhere near her, but came out of the crate and settled in Millie's little bed. This is going to take some time, to socialise her, but she is worth it! :happyhear

I will quote Berry's FB update on here to let you see what he thinks all about it!!!
Having had Mam in end-of-life unit for 2 1/2 years and Alan going from finding out he had cancer to losing the battle in just over 4 months, I would chose the latter if I could. Watching someone waste away is dreadful, for them too. Loss of dignity and the pain and trauma they go through, no-one should have to go through. At least Alan did what he wanted for most of that 4 months and was only incapable for the last 10 days or so. I know that Alan would not have wanted to go through months and months or deteriorationMy sympathies and thoughts are with you both. Similar problem with my Mam living up North, but she had rest of family around her, but very hard when she was so far away
3Dogs love Noela :happyhear she is a gorgeous girl give her a big huggle from me . You are doing a wonderful job :A0 -
Morning all. Well done to everyone who made it through dry January :T:T:T
Now we're into frugal Februaryit's something we've done for the last couple of years. We basically just aim to spend as little as possible. Food budget is £50 and spending on other stuff is kept at an absolute minimum, although there are no hard and fast rules and emergency spends (eg something like medication) are fine.

I can only see one lot of biscuits with points on the M app now.“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0

I have two deadlines next week, then one in mid March and I have done most of it already:j:j
You keeping busy too.
I'm on track. Gotta finish one today and put crib sheet together for economics exam on Wednesday.
Gotta decide next month if doing next year which seems incredibly daunting at this point but I guess no sense in leaving it to last minute as places be gone.
I keep telling myself not sure would manage but I guess its just building on this year.

I really ought to go to bed now.
Just gonna leave this interesting article here. It's an account of one family's experience of modern day poverty. A real eye opener and I see echoes of it in my close friend's life
http://kathleenkerridge.com/2015/01/28/the-upsetting-reality-of-modern-day-poverty/
An interesting read, just reminds me of childhood  and that seemed to be the norm then or it was where we lived and that was with all the men working as they were railway houses.
In those days people did not expect as much and I am in no way having a pop at you or the author. Plus I am sure if you go back another generation they lived with even less
Or if you take 3dogs dog as an example there would be many people from other countries would see that as living in luxury roof over your head/food/gas/electric/free healthcare the list goes on
and don't take it the wrong way
Might make a few think how well we actually have itwhen moaning about a late apg result etc or lost 25p on that item :rotfl: but probably not
