Thanks to the OP for the M+M glitch

Just walked round to my local and was pleasantly surprised by the full shelves. Ended up picking up 11 packs to top up my shop to £15 :)

    And, oh:

    1 x ASDA British Parsnips (500g) £0.85 £0.69

They're doing well aren't they?:rotfl: Parsnips go onto 3 for £1.50 and were 49p in T over Christmas, at which time the As near me changed 'conveniently' to a 750g festive pack:(.

I wouldn't put it past M to have some Parsley as well. Parsley is 49p in Aldi; however it is 'only' 25g there.

    (Oh look:

    Morrisons Fresh Cut Parsley (31g)

    Store_8.15px.png
    79p

but it doesn't show the Morries price on the A product on msm - if M prices, like the other stores, were collected online (they are not), this would be likely to make a difference in my view, as the products of the rivals would not be linked together on msm.co.uk and therefore would very likely mean an N/A on the APG. However, this is irrelevant to the APG vs M, as prices for M are collected instore so that it could have been picked up and compared vs 79p(:(:rotfl:) - however it looks like this instore price collected missed the item:D.)

Thanks for the earlier info. on the Corned Beef Hash - £1.30 looks a very good price. This is the fresh ready meal - it seems to be comparing the 400g A one with the 450g M one (£1.46 offer) despite it being outside the 10% weight range (shush...:silenced:). I assume it is straight £1.30 with price on weight being adjusted downwards:T rather than 2 for £2.60? So, straight 10% off M's price as if it were 400g.

Also, I notice a price increase in A on the Courgettes pack. They were 99p, and not 10% cheaper than M. They are now £1.24, and not 10% cheaper than M:rotfl:.

Take no notice of my bold prices there - they will not work on the APG;). 6 pack(:eek) Hot Cross Buns 2 for £1 in A. May be cheaper if you can get whoopsie.

You both talk a lot of sense:) I haven't added up my January spend but it's not going to be accurate anyway as I used PP's earned in December and lots of wombles and a few A gift cards. I did a CC shop for the tubs of Nescaf! which came to £33 and several M&S shops too. So it was a bit of a non typical month.......but do we ever have a typical month?

Also we've been doing dry January so the wine rack is unchanged.
I strongly believe that I could get it down to zero using wombles, buying whoopsies, living out of the freezer and cooking and baking from scratch which I do a lot.
However it is nice to have a M&S meal now and then and it would be daft to miss out on a glitch because I want to be uber frugal.

So February soon. Bring it on:D

I have spent £49.22 actual cash in January, I have a purse full of small wombles and APGs and also waiting to claim some APGs from C&Cs. I find it very difficult to track properly as I do not record value in APGs I start with each month. I do have a spreadsheet for my C&C APGs so I can see when I have gone over. I am really trying to stop shopping but how can you resist woopsies and you can not let APGs go out of date. Going to try and put £20 in a purse for fresh stuff and have £20 for C&Cs to top up C&Cs for Feb and see where I am at. Off to count my APGs now and will keep a log.
Should I go to Lidl in the morning? Wanted the turkey but do I need it? Decisions.
