Evening all Rant notice
Had a carp few months at work so resigned last week but had to have a meeting today Under contract I have to give 12 weeks notice
Boss wants me to stay on an extra week to train another new start who will be good at payroll as she at uni and her mum works with payroll :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I process several million pounds a year so the 1000+ staff will have their payroll managed by two staff with less than 6 months experience between them They are clever though
Really angry as she wants me to develop in house systems before I go although she ripped me to shreds with my PR on stuff that is not in my remit
After a carp few months I hope you are now feeling relaxed:) I think it's so exciting facing new challenges and there's a few peeps on here whose lives are changing big style.....leaving jobs, new jobs, uni, studying.....a chance to reflect and reassess.
Good luck mrs M:TTo do is to be. Rousseau

Lunch didn't quite go to plan - got to pizza hut to get a message on phone from friend that her windscreen wipers had broken so she'd had to turn round and go home as couldn't see. Ended up at her house with cheese toasties! :rotfl:
Yummy, and saved both money and calories!
Was nice not having to cook
Mmmmmmmm cheese toasties!
Think we have enough biscuits now, must have bought nearly 80 packs in total, DH will probably want a divorce if I try to buy anymore (plus the cupboard is full!)
I feel well and truly back in the game now :jHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

I took a joint of beef out of the freezer this morning to make a roast dinner:) I've bought Yorkshire puds, made roast potatoes, prepared the veg only to discover it maybe pork.:o.. That's fine but now its half cooked its looking more like Gammon!! I don't do gammon and gravy
So quick change of plan... Don't you love it:rotfl:
Deedee I've only one fridge/freezer combination so you aren't on your own:)
Don't know how often i have preached the importance of labelling things but every so often I pop something in the freezer utterly sure I will know what it is...!!!
I've two small freezers but they always seem totally full!0 -

Savvy.I totally agree with you.
I've totalled up my spend this month.
I've spent £24 actual cash by using wombles to buy what I need.I've done a few comparison shops.
Against the cash I've spent I have £27 cashback ,£20 note I found,£5 received for buying for somebody else and £10 sainbobs gift card from valued opinions.
This means my net spend so far is -£38 for January.
Morrisons is a good 1/2hr away by bus so I don't want to tie the time up going there. My time is far more productive using for wombling.
I have £17 pounds in nectar points plus the £10 gift card to use but I wont do what you did because sainsbobs is a good distance away as well.
You both talk a lot of sense:) I haven't added up my January spend but it's not going to be accurate anyway as I used PP's earned in December and lots of wombles and a few A gift cards. I did a CC shop for the tubs of Nescaf! which came to £33 and several M&S shops too. So it was a bit of a non typical month.......but do we ever have a typical month?
Also we've been doing dry January so the wine rack is unchanged.
I strongly believe that I could get it down to zero using wombles, buying whoopsies, living out of the freezer and cooking and baking from scratch which I do a lot.
However it is nice to have a M&S meal now and then and it would be daft to miss out on a glitch because I want to be uber frugal.
So February soon. Bring it on:DTo do is to be. Rousseau

Not read back, have from about lunchtime to skim read as I have to be out again in just a few mins!!!! Not even sure if i'll get to do that.
Savvy......
From a womble, may already be on your list?
AvM
1 x Rowse Pure & Natural Honey Squeezy (340g) £2.00 £1.50
Looks like it's on offer till first of March so will hopefully stay at this for a while.
Nothing much more to note v any other shop.
Parked furthest away from door that I could in car park and only managed one womble on way in, and one on way out. Far too clean round these parts!:rotfl:
Can't check second one yet but if there's anything to note i'll post it later.
Also another biccie shop done in a smaller 'proper' morries this afternoon and it didn't look like any other customer had bothered with the offer there. I think I may look into doing a coffee morning thing to raise money for a couple of charities.0 -

If the Glade Touch 'n fresh Clean Linen are RTC to £1 in your store (mine is an ex-Netto), by my reckoning you you will be paid to take them away
So A.com at £3.50, check if RTC to £1 and will hopefully compare to T price of £2 http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml#/product/910001439272
Can confirm this works.... stuck one on my last shop, with you lot and all your candles I thought it was known about.... sorry.0 -
