It's 16 in order to get the £15 solely from biscuits-purchase, as the boogers have them priced at 99p each!:rotfl:
However, I'm sure that list is correct, as the one that cost me £3 is listed in the do not buy! (If only I'd been able to see the list before I bought!)0 -

Trouble is, if anything good on M's price does come up, in order for me to spend one of the £5 vouchers, I'm still then going to have to give them £5 real cash later in order ever to do a match and more shop again. Therefore, I'll probably end up having to spend more (£15 in vouchers) on such a shop, having to prepare that properly first, and then end up with at best half back, and probably, only a few quid back as it will be an essentials shop. I can't only confine myself to buying only what is half the price in one specific elsewhere.
I need a £5 f&v voucher:rotfl:.0 -
You can't let this go. I am so sorry for the way your mum was treated..honestly things like this make me cry and cry. Do speak to that nurse if you can because I can pretty much guarentee she won't be be rude to you. I've been in a similar situation and I wouldn't let it go , I kept on until I saw the nurse in question mainly because of the way she treated my dad but also because of as you say those who have no one to speak for them. All I got from her was a very very weak apology bathed in a complete absence of any sincerity but in a very calm way I fired exocet missiles across her bows warning her I'd be watching and listening her every move. If you pull her up on her behaviour it may make her stop when it comes to others.
I am so tired and really heart weary at all the stories lately of the terrible treatment of the elderly...they all deserve so much better.
Good luck, please do give us an update. Hope mum will be Ok.
I agree. We were so lucky with dad's care home. What it lacked in home comforts it made up for with wonderful caring staff and dad had a fantastic nurse and matron.
Dads care home appeared understaffed. It wasn't as they had bank staff it was just underfunded. They went above and beyond many times and made his last days as comfortable as possible. They also listened to how dad wanted to be treated and helped him be as independent as possible.
My uncle had a Stroke around 15 years ago and spent a long time in hospital and had cause to complain about a member of staff. Luckily was overheard by someone who told his family as he couldn't speak then. 10 years later this member of staff was involved in something major and the hospital sent my uncle a questionnaire about his treatment. Sad it had taken so long and a few complaints but they got their comeuppance in the end.

I was genuinely sorry, but not in any 'emotional adverse impact on myself' sense. If that makes sense.
Do not worry - I have already moved on (as indicated by my post 2746).

Good evening biscuiteers!
It's heartening to see so many people thinking of their local foodbank when stocking up on biscuits today. Everyone deserves a little treat every now and again
And speaking of treats, this is Sketch.
And these are some of the treats given to his owner to keep him fed and warm, featuring some good old penny bargains

However, while it'll cost me money, I can doubtless end up doing some experimental shops in M of the type you know I like and get fun out of attempting to price-match somewhere else!:D
Not money-saving! It's like an addictive gamble - and I've been drawn into it!:rotfl: Oh well, it's fun!:j:j:rotfl::(
Might try an Mvs Aldi:eek: at some point! Or an Mvs Lidl!:eek::rotfl:0 -

I guess I'd better say goodnight!
And...as you know I can't leave it there, with the assumption that I've said "goodnight" by writing that even though I haven't - a bit like the "I'd like to apologise" formula but they never actually apologise, i.e. never actually say "Sorry" (or "I apologise")...
Goodnight!:wave::)0
