My friends who used to go to Scandinavia a lot used to reckon you had to take your full compliment of duty-free booze as the local prices were bonkers.
I always remember when I lived in Glasgow that a lot of Icelandic people used to do their shopping there as it was so comparatively cheap.
When you do go back, bring your own crisps stay away from the local fish crisps as they're abominable.
Fish crisps? oh no! :cool:0 -

Oh that's funny! it's just one step up from leaving the price sticker on the bottom of your shoestill could have been worse......you could have left the pigs trotters labels on

And they're nothing like our own good scampi fries!
The only good thing is , like vampires , they can't enter your home unless you invite them in.:)
Wonder what the Icelanders would make of haggis pakora? Had some the other day. Not as good as separate haggis and pakora.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

At least no one would have seen the sticker if I had left it on the bottom.
Don't know how I didn't notice they were attached to the decorative buckle opposite side to the zips. Just dangling there for all to see.
Wouldn't have been so bad if I had only left one on but no I had a matching pair. :rotfl:0 -

I never knew haggis pakora existed until today. I've had attempts at feeding me a haggis curry _pale_ love pakora but I just don't and won't ever like haggisor black pudding.
The whole conversation, however, has made me hanker over fruit pudding and a bit if dumpling0
