Karmacat - that sounds amazing, India is certainly somewhere i'd like to explore.....do you know of any good links/resources I could use for route planning? Still a long way off but all very motivational for me! :-)

    Hi Sarah.....
resources for route planning..... I don't, to be honest. Thinking about it, I'd google for ashrams/meditaton/complementary health/india altogether, and see what comes up. I'd also look on google, amazon and ebay (and my library!) for autobiographies from the 60s and 70s for people who went out there. I recently found a hard back copy of Seven Years in Tibet, by Heinrich Harrer, the book that the Brad Pitt film was based on,for £3. Now *there's* somewhere I'd go. Tibet. Oh wow. You've got me going now.

It's a shock when you realise just how big the world is!! There's so much to see......!!

I'm thinking i'd also like to make a list of jobs i'd like to try along the way, just for fun and experience - silly things like pretzel selling on a New York corner for a day and stuff, though i'm not sure how practical this will be!!!

Oh and also any ideas about things everyone should try etc, like the Everest base camp climb, scuba diving, rainforest trekking etc.....?? I think at least if I start to plan now, it will completely motivate me to do as much as I can - though i'm under no illusions that you'd need a million lifetimes to see and do it all!!!

Thanks for all the great messages so far!! They're definitely making the working week fly by!!! :-) xxxx
