    The expansion tank shouldn't be full either, just up to the max level, 0.5 litre would fill it up. However this shouldnt damage anything...

    yes, but I do not know how much they will a brand new car? I believe they do not do up to the cover, and potentially I might have filled what they had left empty. It is really full now.

    You mean the level is up to the "max" mark and not right up to the brim?

    You could always sucking the excess out of the header tank. look for a max mark and take it down to that

    Siphon the expansion tank, then top up with anti freeze - simples. Really simples, you said you haven t started it yet. Do this, it will be fine

    Siphon it all out the expansion tank with hose, then fill to the max with anti freeze.

    It is 100% full now.

    It should only be filled up to the "max" mark which is normally about 3 to 4 inches from the top of the tank.

    If you run the car, it will reach operating temperature and any excess coolant will be expelled through the over-flow tube.
