anybody got a response template to cover this type of case?

Why bother wasting a stamp? Let them take you to court where you can fleece them for your expenses.

agreed, forget about it and explain it all to a judge , in stockport court or altrincham or whichever is your nearest one , using your paperwork to make them look idiots , assuming they are stupid enough to take it to court

remember, its their job to prove the case, not yours

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Re: Parking ticket XL08581458

I was issued with a parking ticket for ALLEGEDLY parking at PEEL CENTRE - WAS NOT PARKED on 01/12/2014. I believe that this ticket was issued unfairly. I am not liable for the amount payable because:

I was not driving the car at the time as the car had been stolen prior to that date and the number plates stolen. Police informed of this new crime and noted against same crime number.

    VEHICLE STOLEN 10/11/2014

    RETURNED 22/11/2015, WITHOUT NUMBER PLATES

CRIME REFERENCE NUMBER 1314436428 INVESTIGATING OFFICER DC WILSON 01422337085

You were a member of BPA AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT and this ticket has been issued in contravention of its code of practice. REFUSAL OF POPLA APPEAL

The parking ticket states that it is a penalty charge notice. You have no authority to impose statutory penalties.

Any further payment demands from you or your agents could be construed as harassment and I will consider the options open to me in that regard, including reporting your actions to the DVLA.

YOUR ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE AS INSTRUCTED BY DVLA

    Yours faithfully

    DAVID HUTTON

Ah, so the ticket actually has the word "Penalty" on it? More reason to let them take you to court.

Yes, the letter is ok but by sending it, you are letting them off the hook.

No. Easy win for you. If/when court papers arrive, come back on here and we will tell you how to proceed. If you manage to get a hearing, you can sting them for your expenses (travel, time off work etc).
