Excel are IPC. No POPLA option here.

If you'd let us know about the van being stolen, there's a standard response to this. You should push the PPC for photographic evidence of the parking incident so the police can get involved in a suspected cloning incident.

EDIT: Ignore the IPC comment, just noticed it happened in December. I'm slow today....

I think I would report the incident to the police and get a ref number, seeing as you should already have one for the stolen vehicle and presumably you told the police about the lack of plates when it was returned ?

write back to excel and demand a popla code (they may not give you one)

as its a strange case. also complain to the BPA and to the DVLA about it too

frankly, I have stated the obvious I hope, not sure why you cannot see the items you need to do, but hopefully I have provided some or all of them

    .

please note the date of the incident

the pics will be anpr pics so are designed to show the VRN, not the vehicle as such

they would be fools to take this to court, but you need to create a paper trail and also make sure the problems are logged with the DVLA and the police, in case you have to prove this to a judge if they were stupid enough to take it to court (which they often do for the peel centre)

demand popla and proper pictures for the police as proof, get police ref number, involve the DVLA , cover your backside
  • hi this company is totally doing my head in, they will not give me a pola appeal, they have jusnt the enlarged original pics, plus they are totally ignoring the fact that my van was stolen, returned withut number plates, and has been cloned, I have spoken to police and they are as bewildered as me, as I have provided them details of the crime, contact numbers and officers name, but still they persist in chasing me because dvla gave them keeper details.

well that's it they can take me to court.
  • anybody got a response template to cover this type of case?
