    Finally, a sale. :j

Something must be working as I listed some new stock about 7pm and one has sold already.

    Still very slow though

Spoke too soon. Nothing since :(
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • I've had quite a good few days, after a slowish couple of weeks previously.

  • Ebay isn't right. I'm very quiet (near enough half of what I normally do) but the sales come in clusters. 6-8 together and nothing for 5 hours and then the same again.

I've also noticed international sales are the same. Won't sell any for a few days and then 7-8 in one day and then nothing again. I've been selling on Ebay for 13 years and the whole thing just doesn't feel right at the minute.

eBay finally granted itself permission to do what it's likely been itching to do for a long time: hide listings it deems unworthy for unspecified reasons from showing up in search results.

I'm never too bothered about what, when, where and why. Personally my sales on Ebay were increasingly erratic over a two year period. It made business planning impossible.
Items that were steady sellers on Ebay and elsewhere stopped selling on Ebay, my best selling item went up the rankings when a customer accidentally bought too many. If that is what needs to happen to boost sales then others will manipulate it, in my opinion, that's not a good way to run a business.
Amazon isn't perfect but I can see a clear progression in sales and can see where any dips arise and why they happen.

I've had similar experiences recently with sales occurring in clusters then nothing for a while, sometimes for days at a time.
This morning I did a search on eBay using 2 keywords, got no results (and yes, I checked for typos/ spelling). Searched again using only one of the keywords, and it displayed an item with both the original keywords in the title

I have reported a few times that if I search for a specific item on my ipad and then check the exact same search on my PC I get different results!

However, the rolling on/off suggestion appears to have some basis in truth, my sales yesterday and today are nearly back up to pre Christmas levels from almost no sales at all the few days previous.
