Does nobody use the bicarb solution for ovens nay more? I make a thin paste with a couple of tablespoons of bicarb and water, and paint it on the inside of the oven including the shelves. It goes white and a bit flaky when you use the oven. Just leave it on till you want to clean the oven, it neutralises smells and washes off with warm water and a cloth - takes me about 10 minutes and I do it 3 or 4 times a year. Leaves the inside of the oven gleaming.
A bicarb solution on a cloth is the way to deodorise the inside of the fridge, freezer and microwave too.
Steam cleaner is great on windows and for defrosting the freezer too!
I'm not lazy, just economical with my effort!0 -

Clean your fridge / freezer? Normally once a month, wipe inside the fridge once a week or more often if something spilled etc...
Clean your kitchen cupboards out and wipe inside, doors etc? Once a week wipe the outside of the cupboard doors, insides prob every few months lol......
Clean your oven? I clean the oven after each and every use, very OCD about this lol. As I keep it so clean it only really needs a wipe after each use and still looks like brand new
Clean the inside of your windows and the window frames? at least once a week, in the summer perhaps more often due to fly grime etc inside.
Dust the top of door frames and light fittings? I dust skirtings/tops of door frames and light fittings once a week... cant stand dust lol
Slightly OCD I know but I love it when everything is clean and like new0 -
I decline to answer on the grounds that I will incriminate myself.
I believe my SAHS, having a real NEBOSH H&S qualification, does clean & scrub, but I don't ask & he doesn't tell.
To our mutual amusement, one son is showing mildly OCD traits & so is being gently rewarded for unilateral cleaning of the bathroom. Tricky not to set off his much less tidy brothers though!0 -
