  • May be a silly question, but do I put my address on the letter or assume they know this from my reg. number?

Of course it needs the address and all refs/details/name - it's a letter so set it out like one (or email it if appeals are allowed that way on the PCN).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies just realised how stupid that was! A letter is in the post! I shall report back the outcome of the appeal! :)
  • Update...

Received a letter back from UKPC, they disputed all the points in question and asked myself to send a copy of the receipt that I used on the day? I didn't get a POPLA code.

I have a copy of the letter received, how can I upload a copy of this so you can all see?

Advice on what to do next? send copy of receipts I guess?

    Many Thanks,

    1. Host on free Tinypic or photo-bucket and post link here changing http to hxxp, we'll do the conversion.

    2. Check top of rejection letter by 'Our Ref' 'Your Ref' where some of them 'hide' the 10-digit POPLA code.

    3. If it's not there send a letter of complaint to the BPA - NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #6 for email address.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I couldn't see a POPLA code on the letter, certainly no 10 digit code. They have a reference on their but that corresponds to the particle notice number.

Shall I follow step 3. before sending a receipt in?

looks like they have put the appeal on hold for 14 days so you can send in the proof they require to consider cancelling the charge (those receipts)

ie :- receipts or bank statments or whatever

in other words, they havent made the final decision and are expecting you to provide the proof they need to cancel the parking charge

the question is, do you have this proof or not ?

if not , you tell them to decide based on what you have sent, so cancel or popla code

if you do have proof , you give it to them and say , here is the proof you asked for , now cancel the charge or issue a popla code
