UKPC Parking Charge for Leaving Site

I received a parking charge from UKPC on the 19/01/15. The parking charge was for 'vehicle owner/driver left site'. I parked the car on private land outside a supermarket and left the car park to visit a nearby shop therefore leaving this undefined site, I returned to the undefined site then proceeded to buy goods from the supermarket. I did this within the 2 hour maximum stay but I did leave the site.
Where do I stand for appealing? as I did leave the site but I also purchased goods from the supermarket where the car park was situated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The usual no genuine pre-estimate of loss; it didn't cost them anything. You may have left the site but you used the supermarket.
You can also make a point about failure for them to mitigate loss - someone watched you leave the car park, and that someone allowed you to leave to generate a "loss" rather than telling you that you couldn't.
They'll reject it, give you a POPLA code and you'll be able to get rid of it from there. It'll never get to a court, and you'll not have to pay a penny.0 -
UKPC? They often cave in at the forum appeal stage at the moment. But expect to receive a letter from Debt Recovery Plus in between submitting your appeal and receiving the UKPC verdict. (The DRP letter can simply be filed away - do not act on it; do not contact DRP in any way; we don't need to hear [again] about DRP letters).0

Shouldn't the DRP letter be reported to both the BPA and DVLA, since it must be violating the timelines (in that it's a chaser within the appeal window)?0

Ask to see the evidence of you leaving site. That should be interesting.0

Certainly complain to BPA. A complaint to DVLA would just get bounced to BPA anyway because "DVLA don't administer the BPA code of practice". (Or similar wording that DVLA have used before).0 -
Thank you all for the advice thus far. I went back to Aldi today and spoke to the manager regarding the situation and he said nothing he could do as they didn't own the site and referred me back to UKPC.
Whilst I was in the car park I came across the parking attendant and spoke to him regarding why he had given me the ticket, he said if you had bought shopping and then went off the site then that would be fine but in my case I left the site and then bought shopping. I asked the gentleman to point on the sign where that information was and he said it is not on there.
Shall I add this information to the appeal template? thanks herzlos for the guidance.0 -

Write to the Aldi CEO and complain that if this fake unenforceable speculative charge isn't cancelled you will become an ex customer.
If there is no signage to say you musn't leave the site then there can have been no breach of contract. Put it in as an additional appeal point.samhillier wrote: »Spoke to the parking attendant today and the evidence was that he watched me leave the site, he even told me what way I walked
Add that as an additional appeal point as it confirms that he didn't attempt to mitigate the loss.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thanks Fruitcake, Ill get a appeal letter sent today and would you have a template by any chance of an email I could send to a CEO or should I just rant and explain the situation?0

Just email the CEO and keep it short. Also email Aldi customer services and post it on their facebook page, they love that.samhillier wrote: »Spoke to the parking attendant today and the evidence was that he watched me leave the site, he even told me what way I walked

Definitely quote that, because it leaves them with nothing; they didn't try to mitigate it. Are there any other witnesses to this conversation?0
