Btw, I posted on the other thread that I've done a Noddle check and it comes up 4/5. I presume that makes applying for another card safe?0

the reclaiming was in the days of the wild west with late payment fees been at 30 quids etc (example)
did you sign up to noddle?
and please let us know what mbna say tommrow.
you could also if you want just run a eligibility checker on this site for a balance transfer card and see what it comes back at, but as others have said, your credit file may be frankly destroyed now.0 -

have you been into the mbna account and seen what they have been reporting? to noddle.0 -
who do you bank with? they may internal score you for a credit card....0

I did the eligibility check and that comes up good too. I do have a half-paid mortgage and a Tesco credit card which pays the grocery bill in full every month (DD!) so maybe that helps?0

yes it will help counter the late payment markers (if applied) it is possible that you have been given "grace" days with mbna as in such they have not reported the late fees, noddle will confirm the status of this if you go look.0

Prior to 2006 card companies used to basically charge whatever late fees they wanted. In 2006 the OFT issued a report suggesting that fees over £12 were excessive, after which some people had some success complaining to their card companies and being refunded the difference in fees between the £12 the OFT think is fair and what they were charged.
Since 2006, pretty much all card providers have capped their fees at £12 as is the case in your scenario, which the OFT consider to be fair.0 -
don't know nothing about that bank, if you had been with bos Halifax Lloyds etc long enough they would of took the internal score into account, any way you have nothing to loose by submitting a application for a new card to your chosen provider.Deleted_Users4 wrote: »I bank with Intelligent Finance0 -
This is interesting. I've just looked more closely at Noddle and the MBNA card states account payment status as "OK" and "UP TO DATE" every single month since I took out the card!0
