my family and I used to spend about £100 per week in Aldi , even more when son No2 was back from Uni , having had a ticket from Parking eye and fought it successfully , I have for the last 2 yrs , not been to there shop , so at over 5k a year , aldi have lost me , and my family and friends , hence they need to spend another cool million or so on tv adverts to replace people like myself.

ok I,ve been in once , but that was to buy one of those

if Aldi and others were to respect there customers , instead of allowing the likes of PE to lower the parking times from 3 hrs to 100 mins , they would keep there customers

Maybe the way forward is to don a hi-vis and set up an info point on the entry to every car park where PPCs operate.

The info point would need to look like it is an official PPC one and leaflets would need to educate people on how to raise an appeal and that if it ends-up in Court, then the motorist needs to attend.
It also needs to make note that if the motorist loses in Court, it will still cost the PPCmore than the recoverable cost of the invoice.

If enough people follow this, then this will cost the PPCs a fortune.
