PIN and card arriving on same day!! RBS HALIFAX!

Hi
Is it normal for your PIN and card to arrive on the same day?

RBS and Halifax?
I feel like the security on my accounts could have been compromised.

Should I contact the banks and complain?

Sometimes items get delayed in the post. It is unusual but not unknown.

If the envelopes are still sealed and the pin panel remains untouched why would you be worried?!

    No need to complain!

Yes complain about it that is the thing to do these days, complain complain complain.

Complain about the slightest of things!!

I've had it happen a few times where the card and pin have arrived together at the same time.

It happens none of the accounts have become compromised.

Perhaps you're just making a mountain out of a molehill!!

Normal, Probably not. But does it happen often yes.

Contact whoever you like and make a complaint. If you have nothing better to do.

Expect the answer that they send them out separately and when in the hands of royal mail its out of their control.

You could ask them to send the PIN out 6 months after sending out the card just in case it got lost in the post....

Dont forget to ask for COMPENSAYSHUN........ Dont accept anything less than £20k

Because they could have been stolen and my account could have been emptied...
And I could just be sat here wondering when my card and pin are going to show up....

And this has happened twice in one week.
I thought a PIN and card were supposed to come a few days apart?

I came on here to ask a question not to be ridiculed.
    Thanks for your contribution.

I'm lucky if I get any post on days other than Tuesday and Friday...and then it comes at 4pm! That's Royal Mail for you!

You wouldn't lose any money...the bank would!

Are you one of those opening a lot of accounts at the moment? If so, the chances of this occurring are much increased.
I thought a PIN and card were supposed to come a few days apart?
No. The PIN and card are supposed to be sent a few days apart. There's a subtle difference. :)

They can't win though can they, because when they do send them a few days apart you get posters on the credit card forum saying "I've got my card but where's my PIN? Should I call them?"

Thank you for an intelligent answer Yorkshireboy

Yes, I have opened 3 accounts this last week BUT with different banks so I can't see this being an issue.

My mail has been arriving everyday, so I don't think there is a delay at Royal Mail.

Maybe I am overreacting, but I would rather wait a few days for my pin than have it stolen along with my card.

getting your mail delivered every day doesn't mean that none of your mail could get held up for a day or two somewhere in the delivery process, or that all correspondence from a given bank takes the same length of time to get to you.

You are overreacting, for reasons already given in several responses. Also, from what you said, nothing has been stolen, or got lost.

RBS and halifax are nothing to do with each other.
