Yes I think Poppy needs the routine as her behaviour was starting to go downhill. The weather doesn't help as she couldn't run off steam outside.

Happy New Year everyone!! Hope you're feeling better soon, Wendz
Does anyone have any resolutions for the year? My first one is to birth a human. But after that I want to be better with money, as I was pretty shoddy with it this last year!
Don't know if anyone's interested but I'm doing the penny a day savings. So you put a penny away for each day of the year, the 1st was 1p, 2nd was 2p etc etc until the last day of the year which is £3.66 (it's a leap year, right?) so even if you skip a few days you end up with £600 at the end of the year which I thought would be a good way to save for Christmas, without really feeling it?0 -
Very good resolution Cinny;) .
I'm wanting to be better with money this year too. I saw that penny one and looked good . I am rounding down every Friday to the nearest five and saving that at the moment.0 -
Hello all! Merry New Year!
Great resolution Cinny! Eeeeep, your little dude will be here before you know it! Are you all sorted? Are you doing The Waddle now?!
Hope you're feeling better Wendz?
I like the idea of the penny savings, but I'd probably never stick to it, I rarely have cash/change on me anyway so I'd just get stressed out by how much I 'owe' myself because I won't be able to pay it in every day!!!I do want to save a little more this year though, so might just try to put £10 a week away, we seem to have gone off the rails since we came back from our holiday.
I am waiting on a Sharesave scheme to pay out so that should get us back on track once I get that money.
I'd also like to have money next January, it's a killer seeing all of the great deals around and not having the money to buy allthethings!
I think this year we also want to do our place up a bit, we have talked about getting laminate flooring for the living room and hallway as the carpet is a state now (to be expected with a toddler on the loose TBH) and we also want to get some decent furniture for our bedroom so hopefully we can have a more grown up, permanent looking place by the end of the year!We also need to sort Zach's room with better storage for our junk as we can't turn his cot into a bed at the moment since his room just has too much other stuff in it to for us to feel like he'll be safe to roam freely.

My New Years resolution is to learn to drive and buy a house. We are sale agreed so fingers crossed all will go well and we'll be in end Feb. I also want to pay off all our debts by the time I'm work, which is Jan 2017.
So lots to do in 2016!
How is the bump Cinny? Hope your cold is subsiding Wendz. Birdie I can only imagine the state of the carpet. My two are so messy! All your house plans sound great.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Popping by to say Happy New Year all! Hope everyone had a good Christmas and that 2016 is everything you want it to be!
Congratulations again Cinny on getting married, I literally squealed when I saw it pop up on fb! :j
I bet you can't wait to get into your new house CMD, so exciting! I can't wait to be in that position and be choosing all furniture and decorating plans. Sounds like you'll have fun doing all that this year too Birdie! Can't believe Zach will soon be old enough for a bed?!'The journey of amazing grace '. I am rubbish at thinking of names.
Love this book name idea! Amazing that you've found time to write it Dinah, it'll be so good for you to see it published
My main 2016 aim is to save for a house. Me and OH have both opened a Help To Buy ISA which will help a bit. Need to lose all this weight I've put on too! Standard New Year's resolution for me that
It's OH's 30th birthday in May so I need to put some money away for that. Gonna book a weekend away I think in Europe somewhere. He's interested in Eastern Europe so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! I'd like to go to Croatia but it'd be a bit 'Surprise! Weekend away for your birthday to somewhere I wanna go!'Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Just popping in to say Happy New Year everyone! Our Christmas was relaxing on Christmas day but the rest of the festive period was slightly manic!
My resolutions for the year are to be more organised, lose some weight and buy a house. So nothing major, but all go hand in hand really. Task number 1 is to get the wedding photos sorted out as we just got them back from the photographer.
Zig - I took DH to Berlin for his 30th and he really enjoyed it. It was also a surprise weekend to a place I wanted to go, but he didn't realise! I would always recommend Prague as I love it there, and Budapest is also lovely for a weekend away.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Krak!w is lovely, as is Vienna. I love Budapest too but than I am Hungarian so it's pretty obvious. I wasn't impressed of Prague, Berlin and Bratislava tbh. We did a round trip in Italy for my 30th, flying to Venice, than off to Florence and Pisa and coming back from Rome. I loved it!0

Happy new year all!! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New year and all managed to get a bit of a break
I had a nice time but back to work hit me like a tonne of bricks!
Standard new years resolutions which aren't going amazingly so far to be honest.. I'm hoping this week will be much better than last though and I've had a great chilled out weekend so I should be much less tired!
Ebook sounds good well done Dinah, and posting on here more sounds good too. I want to check in on here more too - i don't know if anyone else feels like this but when I've not been good on the money front I tend to avoid coming on.. (same as when I'm homesick I don't call my mum... which is really weird..!)
Birdie I definitely feel the same about wanting to have money in January. All my friends are raving about good deals they've got and I'm here counting days till payday! to be fair, I am trying to buy less stuff I don't need but...!!!
Cinny you must be getting so excited to meet the little guy now!! I am so excited for you!!! Hope you are feeling okay and not uncomfortable etc! Are you sorted baby 'stuff' wise now with all the things you have to get before the little one is born? I bet you managed to get lots of cute outfits etc in the sales tooknowing the sex in advance must make some of those type of things a bit easier!

Cold has gone but I have a cough that won't go and is worst at night.
In other news Heidi got her first tooth this weekend!
Birdie - the house stuff all sounds great.
CMD - everything crossed you have the house soon. Learning to drive will be great too.
Zig - nice to see you and good luck with the house savings .0
