Saw this and thought of you Birdie, although I know we have some other very talented ladies on here, just not sure if anyone else is currently selling. Amazon's new handmade marketplace.

I entirely forgot to set a NSD challenge for myself. Oops.

On the MSE front we were sent some free tickets to cbeebies land by Merlin's Magic Wand (Charity who give out tickets to legoland/alton towers etc to kids with medical conditions or disabilities) and then we've cashed in some tesco vouchers to pay for a hotel room for tonight (well all but £4 of it) and the charity also sent us a cheque for £50 towards travel, so all we should end up paying is the £4 for the hotel room and a picnic lunch, Grace is so excited to go meet Iggle Piggle I'm surprised you haven't heard the screeches from where you are.

Working hard atm between Yogabugs/MrMus/Quidco, loving all of it but it leaves very, very little time for things like ebay, mystery shopping, finishing the ebook, starting this money blog etc. I hope in a few weeks time I might settle into a bit more of a routine, but once NIM is back at work I can only see me having less time not more. I'm quite tempted to have a radical declutter, but the problem comes I can't just throw out/give away things I know I could sell (if I had the time) as my brain can't get around to that mindset yet, even if the time it would free up would enable me to make money in other ways.

I've managed 2, Tink! :o Going for a third today.. but I've got a sudden craving for tomato soup which I don't have the stuff in to make :( SOOOO we'll see if I cave and go buy some veggies, or stay strong and have what was planned :rotfl:

Sounds like you'll have a lovely little time away :) Seems like a great charity too! I have no idea what an Iggle Piggle is, but I'm sure I'll know in a years time :o

A think a radical declutter sounds like a good option! We did one over easter and got rid of so much stuff that was just cluttering the place up. Felt awesome! You're also in the position where you have enough other options to make extra money that you aren't completely reliant on ebay sales to clear the debt. If it would make you feel better about just "getting rid", you could make sure it all goes to charities? Have home starting charities for any bulky furniture, there are drop off centres for books to send to refugee camp libraries, toys could go to childrens charities etc?

Could always make it a mini challenge somehow if that'd help motivate you? We need to have another overhaul of the living room, spare room that will be the nursery, and OH's office.

Oooh that Amazon link looks interesting Dinah, thanks! :)

Tink, I'd totally forgot about NSD... I don't think I've had a single one! :o

What a great gift from the charity Dinah! Have a great time away! :)

For the declutter, can you do a big car boot/garden sale/open house type thing? Might not make quite as much, but at least it will all be gone in one go!

I'm struggling with clutter again, it seems that no matter how many times I have a big clear out and bin 6 black bags worth of junk, we still have loads left?! Another job for next week I think.... a mini challenge would spur me on! :)

I'm happy today as my manager has just told me that she has booked into a craft day at a local studio that runs various arty crafty courses and she's away on the date booked and can't transfer to another day so has told me to go in her place so it's not wasted and she wants nothing for it. Yay! These courses are normally £75 and I've wanted to go for ages but not been able to afford it so very excited! :j

Mini challenge it is! Anyone have a snappy title or goal? I'm decided now, I sold a bundle on ebay for £3, over £200 when new and she's told me she's leaving negative feedback as some clothes have clearly been worn and even have a mark on one bit that I didn't notice - it's 20 bits of clothing it's just not worth this.

That's great Birdie, what is the course on?

  • I agree with Cinny the lack of clutter will be a huge relief and your time will be freed up to do things that will either make money or make life easier. Time for a change to how you achieve the next stafe of financial freedom?

    Hmmm snappy title.... Streamline September?!

How freaking annoying about that ebay lady! Of course a bundle of clothes for £3 would have been previously worn!

The course I'm doing is called 'Ceramic Tea Plates - Cool Decorative Techniques' so looks like we'll be shown various techniques for decorating ceramics then will get to take a finished plate home at the end. :) If I like it there I've seen that there's a cocktail hat workshop in November that's right up my street!

Actually Dinah- there's an idea for a little business for you right there! Run little 1-day art and craft workshops! Just hire out a village hall or something and teach people a skill for a fee!

Can't believe why people complain sometimes. Someone is meant to be sending me back a maternity dress I sold on eBay as apparently was too small although fitted me fine... They said they sent it back first class last week and still hasn't arrived.

I am hoping to do a carboot in the next couple of weeks but trying to work out what to do with poppy while me and my mum do it.
