That's awesome about the Quidco job! Although I'm not surprised you got it, you've had almost 8 years on the MSE forum as practice

Your poor Mum!! I'd be more upset about the loss of the camera over anything else
Cards can be cancelled, keys replaced etc.. but all the holiday photos were on that?? At least your Dad had some money, and they got back fine
Must have been a shock though - you're told to be cautious but you never think it'll actually happen to you?
Congrats to NIM on the placement too, hope he manages to work weekends like you're planning
Also hope he's feeling more like himself soon.
Thanks for the perfect prep offer, but until we're out of the game on breast feeding - we're not really after getting formula things? And thanks for the help offer too
I'm "only" wanting to breastfeed up until around a year, so I hope my body is up for it! The clothes would be awesome though, if you don't mind letting their things go! Would you want anything for them, or at the very least to cover the postage?
After a week of calling I finally got my appointment changed. Scan is on the Monday now
So no rushing!
Hope everyone has a nice weekend planned! We're doing.. nothing! My Sister's Husband finally comes for the long haul tomorrow, so my mum and I are going to go and take flowers to dot around the house, make sure everything's tidy and see to the kittens
WB Studio was awesome btw, Birdie!! Finally got the Hufflepuff scarf of my dreams
Had a really awkward moment of standing in the great hall, and when they asked people to cheer for "their" house, and I thought "screw it, I paid £33, I'm going all in!" I was the only person in the whole room that cheered for Hufflepuff
We caved and got wands too  I got Professor McGonagall, OH got Snape

Delighted you got the scan date changed Cinny. It would be horrible if it was ruined by you looking at the clock. Enjoy it. The scans are so special

Delighted to hear you got the Quidco job Dinah. Well done! So sorry to hear about your mothers bag being snatched. I would also be most upset about the camera and all the photos. Well done on NIM being accepted onto the nursing course. I'm sure you have done all the sums and you can afford it.
Myself and OH are off to Brighton tomorrow. We are going over to celebrate a friends 40th birthday. We all went there to celebrate his 30th so will be weird now that it is 10 years on. It's also the first time we have been there since Max was 4 weeks old. It feels like a lifetime ago that we actually lived there!
Then we are off to Edinburgh with the kids next week for 3 nights. I am really looking forward to this as when we were there last year it was to close the sale on the flat, so was a bit stressful!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Good old Hufflepuff! I think I'd be one so am a supporter of the badgers!

Got a busyish weekend planned; Ikea tomorrow afternoon with Zach and MIL, DH is playing rugby and doing general Ikea-avoidance. Off to a work girl's house tomorrow night for drinks and nibbles. Sunday will probably be swimming in the morning and in the afternoon we might go to a local town which is doing an urban beach thingy with craft stalls and whatnot. :cool:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Enjoy Brighton CMD! Will be strange being back there.
Cinny bet your sister is excited about her husband joining her at last.
Birdie - sounds like a lovely weekend too.
I am taking the girls to a farm tomorrow worth my friend and her daughter same age as Poppy. Nothing planned on Sunday at the moment. Ex is taking poppy to Spain next week, going to be so strange without her but the 'break' with just Heidi will be nice !
Poppy got a new bed yesterday as was finally kicked out of cotbed as Heidi had outgrown Moses basket. So cotbed got moved to my room and trying to rearrange find homes for everything which is a nightmare.0 -

I'm really lucky that MIL and I get along so well. She's not having the best time with FIL at the minute (he's a grumpy old so-and-so and treating her like sh.t for no particular reason  ) so DH and I are trying to take her out away from him a bit more. We couldn't care less what he gets up to and feel zero guilt about him being sat home alone on a weekend!

Oooh that will be so weird having Poppy away for so long! Are they going with other family? I always got the impression he was scared of looking after her on his own for too long?! I hope she has a good time though!
Will be lovely to have a bit of special girl time with Heidi, hope you've got some nice activities planned.

Wendz, you are always so upbeat. I don't know how you do it, I really don't.
Is Poppy looking forward to time away with her Daddy? In fairness he seems to be very good at helping you out with childcare. How is Heidi doing?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Your poor MIL. Is this just a new thing, his behaviour?
We left Brighton in Oct 2009, moved to Reading and then moved from Reading to Edinburgh in Feb 2011, had Evie in Sept 2011 and moved to Ireland in October 2011. Bit of a whirlwind few years, and not necessarily in a good way!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Your poor mil birdie, that is lovely you are keeping her busy though.
I don't think he is scared about looking after her, more lazy although he is better now. They are going with sil and her partner and 21 month old which will be nice. Poppy doesn't actually know yet , I think we are telling her day before. I think she will be excited to go though .
Heidi is good thanks. Poor thing gets dragged around with big sister so will probably appreciate some extra attention.0 -
Wow sounds like everyone is doing really well! Hope America is good Lara!
Well done on the quidco job Dinah!! That's awesome! What kind of thing did you say you would be doing? Deal hunting? (You'll have to share any insider tips lol!) hope your holiday is nice too! Are you still getting bitten if you use a repellant with a high deet percentage? I find this usually works for me. So sorry about your mums bag - can you claim on insurance0
