Cinny, I've been watching RPDR too! I freaking love it, although I'm on season 5 and it just doesn't seem as good as the others. My favourite episode is always 'Snatch Game!' and they didn't even make that work for me.
Ohh no, I thought S5 was amazing. Absolutely love Jinkx Monsoon, it's her I'm going to see in London after the scan
My Mum and Sister have actually taken to calling the hybrid "Jinkx"
My favourite of all time is in S6. But I'll let you come to the conclusion that they're the most perfect peach without my sway
Think I'll be okay with the hospital (she says, probably jinking it..) it's a very small hospital so last time I was actually in for my appointment 10 minutes early. And it's only a 15 minute drive from there to the train station. I have tried calling to see if I can budge it forward though and no one ever picks up :rotfl:
That is annoying about the customer!! I wouldn't have the self control to not tell her where to stuff it :A If I asked someone to make something that I gave them a brief for, I'd blame it on myself that I wasn't clear enough if it didn't look 100% how I wanted it to?? I wouldn't have them completely over haul it, or if I did I'd have added a tip to the payment?
When is it Poppy goes back to school, Wendz? I was just thinking this morning how schools will be back before we know it! (we live straight across from the local primary so it's been bliss having an empty road 24/7!)0 -
I've started S6 now and would hazard a guess that your fave is Bianca Del Rio?! I do like Jinkx Monsoon and her 'Little Edie' was genius, it's just the rest of the queens who let her series down! There just seemed to be a lot of filler queens.
I posted the annoying customer's order on Friday in the hopes that she'd leave me alone but then she asked if she'd paid me enough so I explained about paying in Euros not being very good and she was all 'Oh I'm so sorry, I don't want to belittle your job by not paying you enough... I plan on ordering another frame soon so I'll add the extra to that payment!' I'm going to have to go through it all again! I know it's a good thing as it means I dealt with an awkward customer well enough for her to want to order from me again but... I'd rather have nice, easy orders!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
We used our HHA membership and went to Castle Howard yesterday (no way would we pay £15pp to get in otherwise!). It was lovely, we're planning to go back again soon.

You're right with Bianca! She's perfect! I always struggled at the start of each series to find my loyalties. It's twice as hard because they look so different painted up, it's so hard to remember who I like and who's who
I just sit there thinking "I think I like them.. I think they look nice? But I'm not saying anything in case it's *so-and-so* and I've already decided I don't like them.. where ever they are.." Think that's why I automatically stick my favourite on the quirky drag, easy to spot! (and all the fishy queens never seem completely there..) Have you seen the snatch game episode for S6? I think it was my favourite ever!
That's a compliment really! Think it's hard to get repeat business from awkward people? And at least you can muddle through the next frame knowing there's kind of a bonus at the end?
I love Castle Howard! That's where we go camping in York
Not that we've been in years now! 0 -
She starts on the 3rd September . Half days to begin with.
We went to a pottery place yesterday and did some painting. I got Heidi's footprints on a mug too.
Birdie - That's good she will add extra next time , hopefully will be less stressful nex time !
Off to a little mini farm this afternoon with the girls.0 -
I have seen the S6 Snatch Game, loved it! I'm still amazed that people turn up unprepared for it though. I don't get the fishy queens who turn up saying 'I don't act, sing or sew' then get annoyed with all of the challenges that they can't do. Have they even seen the show?!
I love pottery painting Wendz! A place in my town has just started doing it and I want to go but Zach-zilla would be the proverbial bull in a china shop so will have to wait until he's less destructive! There's another place that does ladies nights and I'm quite tempted to go to one of them!

I really don't understand drag that's just meant to be pretty, I mean they always look gorgeous but where's the fun bit?? Just had a notification to say Sharon Needles is doing a show in Manchester, but I'll be way way wayy too big by then

Did get some free tickets to the baby show in Manchester in a few months though :j Hoping we'll be able to get big things ticked off our list, and everyone says they have good deals on the products(??) so we can stock up on some other things too. My list making skills will finally be useful!
Hope you had fun at the mini farm, Wendz
Sounds like you're having a lovely holiday time with them! Is it this Sept that Poppy moves up to big-kid school? 0 -
We went to the baby show in London before poppy and got some good deals. Ordered cot bed and mattress for cheaper and bought a load of avent bits for cheaper and got a few freebies.
Farm was lovely and poppy had a great time, cheap afternoon out too!
She does indeed start big school eek!0 -
If you go on the last day of the show Cinny, you might be able to buy some things ex-display. I got our pram 25% off by buying the one they had out on the stand
Take lunch! Those places are mental prices and rubbish food x :A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Aww, maybe next time! I'll go with you!
Glad the farm was good Wendz, it's always a bonus when you find good cheap days out! There's no way Poppy's old enough for big school! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

It's a date! This April there was a "battle of the seasons" tour that was in Manchester - Michelle Visage hosted and it had Jinkx, Bianca, Adore, Detox, Ivy, Bendala, Courtney and a bunch of others that battled it out. Hoping they do the same next year, will let you know if they do and you want to come!
Started working out my maternity leave today, which is weird! Hoping I can push through until my annual Christmas leave and then start my maternity after that (will mean time at home with Fox until October :T) It's just a little confusing as we're technically not really doing maternity?! I'll be working from home, for what will amount to maybe 1 - 2 hours a day (split up from 8 - 4:30pm to fit around Fox and how I'm doing) but as I'm doing my family a big favour by not needing to pay my maternity + hiring a new person + monthly accountants fee, they've agreed to pay me a set amount each week (less than what I earn, but it's in line with the maternity pay structure) plus whatever I work on top of that as a kind of bonus
Feeling a little jammy as I worked out I'll only need to fit 6 hours in a week to keep my wage the same as what it is now. Plus if everything works as nicely as we think it will with me working from home, after my 39 weeks is up I'll be able to be a SAHM :j:j (working from home, but still a SAHM!) ((think all this makes sense, sorry if it's confusing!))
Saw the photos on FB and it looks like you've had a lovely summer break, Wendz!
I keep getting all excited when I think about being able to do things like that with our little chap! Can't believe it's time for big school
I was a n00b and got Saturday tickets, Lara
Will remember to take some pack up though!
