We had a lovely weekend. We went to a seaside town on Saturday, OH had never been there. Yesterday we went to see the Jungle Book at our local castle run by Chapterhouse Theatre. It was held in the secret garden and the kids loved it.

I remember your annoyance at the voting last year, Birdie! Glad they've changed it now, even if it is just for a bit of fun it's disheartening when it isn't fair?!

But that sounds amazing :smileyhea It wouldn't work in my office. Everyone is either gluten, sugar or fun free. The amount of times I get given a baked good with the words "Well, it's not got any sugar in it.." or "It's a banting recipe.." or THIS ONE TIME(at band camp) I was given a brownie and told "it's not got any sugar or chocolate in it" I'm like.. well !!!!!! is in it?! And they all follow it up with "But you can't tell" only you definitely can tell. Plus they look at your face when you take the first bite and I can never cover up the horror. The sheer horror.

Had a flutter of excitement when I saw there are still tickets for the Sarah Millican tour near me, but it's 9 days after my due date so I'm being comedy-blocked already BUT my OH is off to get the blu-ray boxset of the Harry Potter movies (I'm calling it an investment in Fox's future) and it's next Thursday we'll be at the studio tour Hufflepuff bodysuits here I come!

At my Sister's for this week's GBBO. Hope I can connect with someone on an emotional level like I did with Norman

Haha Cinny! That's so funny. I hate those fun free treats. The uni that I work at has it's own dairy and ice cream shop, OMG!!!! Thankfully it's at least a 15-20m walk from here.

The move has been grim Birdie, but we are much more settled now. As of yesterday our parcels of belongings arrived and now we also have functional bank cards, woo! The weather here has been lush until yesterday. We're soaking up the sun as it's pure snow December - March, and -7 last year, eep.

Baby Robin is so not a baby any more, wahhh. DH has just started full-time Dad-ding as of yesterday I hope he enjoys it How's Zach doing?

Had a letter through for my second scan today. 30th of Sept! Have a night in London following it, I'm hoping the 1hr 40min window between my appointment time and the train leaving the station is enough?! Mentally planning a cheeky trip to Liberty's the following morning to buy them their first official something

Glad you're getting settled now. An ice cream shop within walking distance sounds good to me! Hope your DH enjoys full time dadding! DH was mad keen to be a SAHD...until Zach was actually here and he decided he needed to go to work for a break! Zach's smashing thanks, growing up too quickly though. Still not really talking although he's trying... it's just that 90% of his words/noises are variations of 'Ha' and 'Meh'! He can't even woof properly when he sees a dog, he goes 'huh huh'.

Cinny, I've been watching RPDR too! I freaking love it, although I'm on season 5 and it just doesn't seem as good as the others. My favourite episode is always 'Snatch Game!' and they didn't even make that work for me.

Might be worth giving the hospital a call to see if they can bring your scan forward a bit? You don't want to be rushing and hospitals are not generally well known for great time keeping! A trip to Liberty sounds great!

Ooof, I need to have a moan about a customer! Got an order that's from a girl I don't know but to be sent to a girl that I do know. She's French (the customer, not our mutual friend) so communication hasn't been the best as I think some things are getting lost in translation. She originally asked for the frame to incorporate the logo of the company they both work for so I did my best with it and pulled the colour scheme in around it etc... sent her a photo and she complained that the logo was too big and she thought it would be more subtle (so specify that in the brief!). And that she wanted a French curse word adding to it (which either means 'damn' or 'b.tch' depending on intonation...?) and that she wanted a funny fish adding as they have an inside joke about fish?! All of this after I'd already sent a photo of the finished product! So I had to pull it apart and move things around, I refused to add a funny fish and cheapen the whole frame but decided to get a little fish charm off my friend who makes jewellery as a nod to the joke... then it took her about 10 days to give me the address (after just assuming that I would drop it round since I'm friends with the recipient... yeah, she lives 300 miles away!) and now she's finally happy with it and paid for it... but she's paid in Euros so I've had to pay a percentage of the fee to convert it to pounds! Gah! She also sends 6 messages of 1-3 words a time instead of just sending a legible sentence in one message which a) drives me mad as my phone goes mental with the notifications and it's turned off the 'Very Responsive' flag on my page because it's confused as to what I have and haven't replied to! Sometimes you just wonder if the hassle is worth £20!!!

Ahhh... that feels better! At least the frame is finally on the way to my friend!

What a pain about the customer Birdie! Bit rude of her to request things after you had done it but you were very good to change it round.

I have managed to survive half the holidays so feeling proud of myself. Poppy had swimming lesson today and has been moved up to the next group. Heidi seems like she is getting close to rolling over so might be taking after her sister as a lively one!
