Glad your Dad is doing well, CMD :) My Mum had a cancer scare a several years ago now and it still deals a blow whenever I think about it, most peoples parents are their heroes and I couldn't even imagine.

Been up since 4am! Fell asleep watching the election results and had a horrible nightmare that UKIP somehow got a big majority and I was hiding out in my car with Ryder plotting to leave the county :rotfl: Got to admit I was really surprised by the exit polls!

AOTD is for OH! Thinking of this as a wedding present from me to him. One with Sheffield with our anniversary and one of Las Vegas with whatever date we pick to get married.

Excited for your Birthday week, Birdie!! What have you got planned? :)

Those cufflinks are really nice Cinny. :)

Not sure what we've got planned for the start of week (I hope the weather's nice so we can just do walks and picnics etc) but we're off on our flying visit to London on Wednesday and we're going to the HP Studio Tour. With Zach. Should be interesting! ;) We had wanted to go to Madam Tussauds as there's a new Star Wars exhibit opening, DH thought it was this weekend but it's next so we'll miss it. Shame! ;) Not sure what do with with our free morning on Thursday?!

Zach is going to have the best baby photos to look back on, Birdie! :p Well, that's assuming he stays awesome and can claim to be a geek since birth instead of rebelling to a boring life ;)

Can't believe you're almost on maternity, Wendz! Probably doesn't feel like it when you're the one expecting but I feel like time has just flown :) How're you feeling?

Had a weird weekend over our way. Trapped inside with terrible weather on Saturday, then I was so sick yesterday I could barely move so another day on house arrest. Feel like nothing happened and I wasted 2 days, but then again I did have plenty of time to read and eat toast :o At one point I was so exhaustedly sick I fell asleep for an hour sat up on the sofa with my book in hand :rotfl:

    Hi,

    How are we all doing?

Dinah - how are things going? Are you still monitoring your spending?

Birdie - hope you had a fantastic 30th!

First proper day of maternity leave here. Poppy is at nursery so nice and peaceful. Have been washing bits of pram and carseat and done a bit of dusting etc as well as watching some tv.

How are you feeling Wendz? I never got to enjoy my maternity leave before Evie because OH got run over the week I finished so I had twice the workload. Lol!

Glad you are getting the chance to rest up though as it's a busy time ahead! Is Poppy really excited? Will their Dad be hands on with them?

Enjoy your downtime before the baby arrives Wendz. :) Have you had much contact with your DH? Have you got the housing benefit sorted?

I had a nice birthday week, it was hard work taking Z-man down to London (3 hours on a train with a bored toddler! ) but it was fun all the same. :)

Hope your yoga class went well Dinah, looking forward to seeing an update from you!

Things good here - finally finished my epic chapter draft. I made such a hash of it. It was so tiring writing every morning, naptime and evenings too. But it's good to be back into work ready for new job in August. It will probably make things easier to have had that big "crunch" moment already.

Now I have to go to a workshop and get feedback on the duff chapter! But the workshop is in Italy, so the boys are joining me and we're having a little weekend away. The organisers have been so kind and accommodated us for free, so MSE as well :)

Cinny, I adored the flower crown you posted some pages back. Your wedding dress is so cute and very you. I'm so excited for you!

Wendz that's great you're on maternity now and getting a bit of well-deserved rest :)

Hope you had fun times Birdie!!

My little Birdie continues to grow. Though he's not much taller, it's all mostly hair! He's got a proper 1970s bowl cut like a little lego figurine. Fun times but knackering trying to fit in work and America prep too. We just need to find a house there which is a bit pants online, but hope we can manage in the next couple-a weeks. We are exempt from some tax due to a US-UK treaty of some magical sort. I'm not sure if it will be deducted at source and then given back later, or if my wage will be a bit higher, so we're having to be quite conservative. There doesn't seem to be much between the free half hour of financial advice, or a big report thing that costs £1200 plus VAT. Eeeek! So we're just playing it by ear...

Dinah, hope you are well x

    Hugs to all, L x
