Cinny when DD was born my inlaws came to the hospital and declined to hold her too. Their reason? They wanted her to get to know them a bit first! I mean what better way to get to know a baby? Or a baby to get to know you? But never mind. Anyway there's an excuse for you if you do want to decline holding your niece!

  • Hi Flower, how are the kiddos? I just paid my car off too, twirly martins for us! :money::money:
Saved £80 of interest doing it early as I actually read the paperwork and had a heart attack over the cost. (Maybe I should give up the twirly martin for not actually realising how much the interest was...) OH just got a new (to him) car and we used a 0% credit card for a bit of it so at least we're learning.

I have a lieu day off today so I'm sorting all my finances, just moved my house deposit savings to get a whole extra 1% interest, going to go and have fish and chips for lunch to celebrate!

Love your wedding dress Cinny, please talk about your plans lots - I love wedding talk. One of my best friends gets married soon and is a total anti bride, she has no interest in colours and dresses - just the honeymoon, so I like to get it out my system elsewhere!

I know I really felt I deserved a swirly martin until I actually worked out how much the car cost us in total  never mind at least we have learnt from it!!

Tiny babies are scary to me :rotfl: I'm used to 9lb + babies anything less than that is considered small to me haha.

Kids are doing great thanks archers, growing up far to fast though! Dont know where the time goes, I really dont!

    How is everyone doing?

I get really worried when there aren't any posts on here. What are you all doing?! Going outside any having a life?!!!

Has anyone got any nice bank holiday weekend plans? We're off for a bit of a hike on Sunday, planning on relaxing over the other two! If the weather keeps up for Monday is 100% BBQ time :)

Thanks for the dress compliments! And I'll admit, I'm a little upset I'm not getting married in a tampon too, Wendz :(

If by having a life you means chasing two toddlers round, trying to keep them entertained, taking them to their various groups (they have a better social life than me :(), tidying up after them, washing, cleaning, ironing and filling out pre-school applications, then yes that is exactly what I am doing - having a life :rotfl::rotfl:
Wouldn't change it for the world though :o

Hi, no real life here either! The highlight of my week was having the day off work and going to soft play this afternoon! :)

DH has gone off for the weekend on rugby tour and I have no idea what he'll be getting up to, nor will I ever find out thanks to Tour Rules! :p Going for lunch with my family tomorrow and my friend is coming through in the evening and we're having dinner. :)

Found out today that a friend's Dad passed away this week. He was only in his 50s, it's so sad and scary! This is the second friend to lose a parent this year, how is that even happening, we are all far too young to be losing our folks?! :(
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Wow birdie how horrible I hope you can support your friend and they are okay we are definitely too young for all of that!

Dinah how's it going? Are you still posting all spends? How are you feeling? When are the NCT sales you were talking about before? Hope they go well! Any progress on Nims job situation? I think it is extremely unfair :(

Archers and flower well done for paying your cars off! Are you going to keep them for a bit now? I think it's good to calculate how much the overall cost was as it is easy at the time to be like "just £160 a month" when you sign up and not really think about it..!

Cinny (keeps auto correcting to funny!) the dress in lovely and I'm sure you would rock it! Any ideas on shoes etc? when are we talking time wise? If I see any nice flower crowns I'll share! And I love the wedding chat so feel free to share!!

Did everyone have a nice bank holiday? 4 day weeks are so good but they can throw everything out of sync a bit too!

Not a lot happening here just chilling :)

Hi Tink! Like the sound of your chilling! We had a a lovely bank holiday weekend, some cocktails with my mother and sister for my mother's birthday and some family stuff with OH and the kids. A good mix!

Birdie - so sorry to heat about your friends Dad. Scary that he was so young. A lot of my friends parents (including my Dad) are going through health stuff at the moment and they are young enough too. It's so scary, I am in my late 30's and feel like this stuff should be happening in my early 50's.

Dinah - where are you? I get nervous when you don't post??? Hope your first round of yoga classes went well.

Cinny - can we get a shoe of the day? You got your dress far too quickly for my liking!!!
