Ooof, been a little quiet on here! Where's everyone at?
Hope everyone had a nice weekend! We legit spent all of Saturday going through a range of emotions trying to find somewhere to stay in Cornwall for our holiday in SeptemberWe did, however, discover a website full of dream properties (like cutesy little hideaways that were clearly decorated with pinterest in mind) that open up onto natural pools. Huts right on the beach! Unfortunately they also cost at least 1k a week  Wound up settling on a neat lodge on the outskirts of Dartmoor NP, close enough to Cornwall to spend a few days there but a few hundred less than similar places across the border!
Heads up for free easter eggs until the end of tomorrow! Tesco have Cadbury/Nestle easter eggs on B2G2F until tomorrow, but if you download the CheckOutSmart app, you can upload a copy of your receipt and get the cost of the eggs backI want to say it'll be good for people with LO's but screw that, I'd keep them for myself

Had a nice weekend, took Poppy to a big park sat with my friend and her little girl and she had a good run around. Then Sunday she had a birthday party.
Things haven't been great at home for me, won't go into it here. All well with baby and Poppy though and got a promotion at work last week which is great!0 -
Aw man, I need to get to a Tesco! Wish we had one in town, I never get the time/chance to go to one out of town!
We had a good weekend, Zach stayed at the in-laws' on Saturday and we went to a race night at the rugby club as it was a tour fundraiser, and since OH is going on tour he has to turn up to these things or he gets punished! It was a good night, but I felt a bit rough yesterday!Had a bit of a lazy one yesterday but sometimes it's nice just to loaf about without having to rush off somewhere!
Sorry things aren't great Wendz, we're here to listen, sympathise and help if you ever need us. ((Hugs)). Glad the babies (because Poppy is still a baby, I don't like the mini threadies getting so big!) are doing well and congratulations on the promotion! :TOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. Sorry to hear things aren't good at home, Wendz. Can only second what Birdie said, one of us is always here to listen! Sometimes a situation just naturally calls for the use of a certain smilie... :grouphug: Glad everything's going well with the baby, and massive congratulations on the promotion!
You work so hard so you definitely deserve it xx
We had a pretty lazy weekend too, Birdie! Sometimes we try and cram so much into the weekend that you just feel like you're running on empty by Monday. If I haven't napped on at least one afternoon over the weekend I class it as WASTED.0 -
Where is everyone?! Enjoying the sun?!
My first frame has gone missingIt's a super special wedding gift for a friend and there was another present in there too and the bl00dy courier has lost it! Been asked the value... err, considering it was home made and not easy to replace (since I used the invite and save the date - which was a message in a little glass bottle, and have no copy of these!) I can't really put a value on it!

Oh Birdie! That really sucks
I'd just estimate your materials, the other gift value and whack another percentage on for the sentimental bits? Is there anyone else you know who you could steal at least the save the date from to re-make it? I feel like sometimes couriers know things are extra special and deliberately try and sabotage people's happiness in some way! Revenge for having to stop-start drive all day! (probably only saying this because I'm enough of a lil-poo to do the same - and maybe because still annoyed they lost my last hellofresh box)
I wasn't enjoying the sun! Been clearing stuff out of the "black hole" room. Rest of my house is nice and tidy but every little bit of rubbish seems to gravitate towards the back bedroomDriving my car around to our house after tea so I can fill it up with stuff to take to the recyling centre after work tomorrow (FUN!) Also going to try and convince OH we need a cheap storage unit, just to at least get the random tat we can't throw away out of sight

I told them £50 (the other present in there cost £14) and if it never turns up I'll have to ask my friends if they have spare invites hanging around, we don't know anyone else who was invited. Just really hope it turns up! The most frustrating thing is that I sent it through the work post room (totally above board, I paid for it and it's allowed
) so they have to do the calling up because they are the senders and have PIN details and suchlike, it's a bit of a 3-way conversation going on. I have this image of a box travelling around the Welsh Valleys wondering when it's going to get delivered to it's new home!
We used to have a black hole room, it turned into Zach's room, although it still has a little corner of black-hole-ness!I need to sort out my hall cupboard/craft cupboard AGAIN, which means that it's clearly not working if it gets in such a state on such a regular basis! I'm still adamant that I want another bookcase in there (we have one already which works nicely and everything on there is in boxes with labels on, I want another against the other wall but OH doesn't think it'll work for what I need to store so we've been bickering about it for months and nothing's been done! All for the sake of a £30 bookcase!

I wrote a reply yesterday and it didn't post!!!
Hi all
Wendz, I can only echo what the others have said. We are here for you if you want to vent either on here or via PM. Please do try to talk to someone, whether it is family, friend or on here. I'm not saying this is the case for you but when I was pregnant on Evie I was an emotional mess due to homesickness and hormones. The way I viewed things were quite skewed from the actual reality of the situation. You have been through a lot in the past few years so be good to yourself xxx
Cinny - loved your post in the Ultimate Losers. You sound really happy and content with yourself and that is the main thing.
Birdie - how annoying that they've lost the frame. I'm so relieved it isn't the one you did for me. But you're right. It's irreplacableIs there any chance it might turn up?
Dinah - hope you had a lovely time in Centre Parcs and got lots of lie ins!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

The courier has opened up a 'lost package investigation' so who knows if it'll turn up, and what kind of state it'll be in if/when it is found. I posted a photo of it before I had the picture of the B&G to add to it here.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Thank you guys. The lovely Dinah and I have had a chat about it and my Mum and a couple of friends know. Just trying to stay positive for me and Poppy and baby.
That is so annoying about the frame Birdie. Hope it turns up.0
