We completed on our house purchase on 14th November last year and its still yet to show on the land registry as being registered to us or as an actual sale?
I spoke to the solicitor around the the middle of decemebr asking howlong it will take but they said there is a backlog at the land registry??
How long should it take?

It does take several months - work pressures in under-staffed public services and all that. If you don't get a copy of your title register within another month or so, I'd email them.Mornië utulië0

The Land Registry Rep will hopefully confirm, but I doubt a LR backlog would add more than a week or so. Turnaround is usually a few days from receipt - providing all is in order.
Of course, submission to LR is not done till SDLT is dealt with. And possibly the 'backlog' is with the solicitor...
I would chase.0 -
I'm still waiting too since 27 October and I was also given the LR backlog line.0

Delays do exist across some types of application or where they involve a first registration or a new build/plot sale or lease.
Id it is what we would refer to as a routine sale/purchase with a new mortgage then these are dealt with on average within 12 business days if in order.
The devil is in the detail but invariably registration is often not done until well after the new owners have moved in and settled into their new home.
The speed with which an application is submitted can also vary as a number of factors come into play even after you have completed inc the speed with which the seller's lender may discharge the existing mortgage as well as how quickly your own conveyancer/lender deal with the paperwork and submit the application.
The timescales involved in submitting the application with us are normally anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks after completion. This can in some circumstances extend to 8 weeks but that is extreme but G_M's post sheds some light on possible reasons for a delay
IF there is a specific need for urgency in completing the registration then we suggest to applicants that they contact us with the details as to why the matter is urgent and we can consider and advise on hopefully a shortened timescale. Your solicitor, as the applicant, can advise on this for you and/or confirm the date of lodgement etc“Official Company Representative

So I have had this reply from the solicitor when asking why the sale isn't showing on the land registry sold prices.......
I couldn’t comment as we do not use that service or check on there, as far as we are concerned the Purchase has completed and registered to you with your lender having a charge registered against the property.0 -
I completed on 5 December and my land registry title deed etc came through last week - 8 Jan or so.0

Where did they register it then the post office? If it's not listed as registered on the land registry it's not registered. Pay to check your title deeds to confirm. As it's been such a long while then tell them you want this actioned within 2 weeks or you will launch a complaint and then follow up with the SRA, that will get them moving!
Keep on it as it will cause you major headaches down the line if not sorted.0 -

Seems a strange response but they should have received confirmation re completion of the registration but if it is not showing online then when you have searched then they can't have - whilst they may use a different service to check the registered details the end data is the same.
I suggest you use the contact us link I posted above to ask us if it has been received and how long it will take to register. Include the urgency angle and see what response you get back.“Official Company Representative

Ok.
I paid the £3.00 to view the title document on the land registry site and it is indeed in my name.
However the price its shwoing that I paid for the house is £500 less than what i actually paid?
Also its not showing on the land registry sold prices.0 -
Good news re now updated
The price paid entry is made on the basis of the figure quoted on the Transfer (deed of sale) and application. If you think that is wrong then you can report the possible error and we can check and amend as appropriate
By 'sold prices' do you mean our House Price data? - if so then add it to the same error report. If not then can you link me to the data you were trying to view it on please?“Official Company Representative
