The sold price data is released monthly, and there will be a cut off as to which sales are included in the monthly data. Wait for the February release and it will probably be in there.

If it was a repossession then the price paid doesn't appear in the data set.

But ultimately why worry about that part, its not of any real use to anyone. As long as you have had the confirmation its all registered then everything is fine.

Mallotum X - that is very true re the data used by third party websites but I got the impression the OP was referring to our own data which would be updated far quicker

It took over 7 months for my recent(ish) purchase - but that was mainly because it was a leasehold flat, and the management company and freeholder had to return signed certificates to my solicitor before it could be registered, and they dragged their feet over it.

So last week my conveyancers fed me the Land Registry backlog bull on my cash purchase completion on 27 Oct.

After learning on here that there is no such thing, I checked with the Land Registry who got back to me the same day to say that they'd sent the completion of registration document back to my conveyancers electronically on 5 Dec.

Today I rang the conveyancers to chase it again to be told that the delay is because they have to check it for me and make sure my name and address are spelled correctly. Like that takes 6 weeks!

I pointed out that the Land Registry says they were sent it on 5 Dec.

So the next excuse was that the Land Registry sends them to their head office so the delay is due to to sending it on to their branch and also the Christmas break.

He said he'd do this apparently very onerous checking work for me today so I didn't bother to play with him and mention that the Land Registry said they sent it 'back' to you, and the use of electronic communication.
  • One thing concerning me is that the price we paid isn't the price logged at the land registry site.

Should I be concerned? It's 500 quid difference.

I queried it with the solicitor and they said its not a problem but if it bothers me then they can contact the land registry and it would cost me £20.

Surely if they made the mistake it's down to them to sort out and pay for.

    What do you think ?

bikingbarney - I did post that you could contact us to query (for free) the entry/error and asked you to confirm what data you were looking at which did not include the sold price.

If the sold price quoted is not what you expected but is what we have been told then you would need to go back to your solicitor to ask why it differs. So contacting us yourself to confirm seems to be the right way to go initially.

Many thanks - how about the sold price data you mentioned or did Mallotum X's post cover as you were searching on a third party website?

Im guessing that as it was a repossession that is the reason its not showing.

I did mention it in the error report form though.
