I have heard good reports on this: http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/free-virus-scan

    Top left:
    Kaspersky
    Virus Removal Tool
  • These two items are definitely virus and can open up a back door into your computer allowing your computer to be mirrored i.e someone as hacked your computer let the malware software quarantine them. However your best source to rid them is to have a professional to remove them and clean your registry for you average going price for a check up in a computer shop is £30 - £35 depending on what they need to do. Also my advice would be to turn off the computer until you have had them removed (Don't want non of your personal information to obtained). These links below are the info i found on them however you will need to complete the link as i can not post direct links.

    enigmasoftware dot com/rootkit0accessh-removal/
    enigmasoftware dot com/backdoor0access-removal/

Just reading those descriptions would set the alarm bells ringing and i would consider changing my passwords for everything i use frequently on my computer once i know that they have been removed.

  • Let us know how you get on btw. Will be great info for other readers in case they come across the same issue.

I have gone onto a different computer so I can spend time working through your helpful suggestions. I have made a start on changing passwords. I will update if I come across any useful information. I do wonder if I was badly advised by a computer engineer who removed AVG protection and replaced it with Malwarebytes protection which turned out to be a free trial which ended recently leaving my computer unprotected. I have tried to load several anti virus programmes on now and they are not able to load. Stable door and horse do come to mind. I have currently left the Kaspersky Anti Virus Removal Tool programme scanning. Fingers crossed I will get somewhere doing this. This site seems quite different in a different browser so I hope I am posting this correctly. Thank you all again.

Just had a quick google and reviews of Malwarebytes suggest that it should be used alongside your Anti Virus software! Did your engineer come recommended?

    Btw, Posts look normal! :)

Hi,personally I am not that keen on the free AV suites.I did use to use AVG free many years back but had issues with it.
I think the cost/benefit of a good AV suite eg Kaspersky are well worth the small cost, especially when you work out the daily cost.On my link it is the top left that I would think would be best for you.
    Cost: £14.95 1 PC / 1 Year
Install that & I am sure you will be better protected than via AVG.

Thanks weeowens for your good advice. My bank actually offers Kaspersky free to protect it's customers. I did not realise until all this blew up. I did try to install it but at moment unable to do so. Will definitely try again when my computer is eventually sorted out.
  • Hopefully Kasperskey as alleviated this problem for you but i would recommend that you still have a diagnostic done by a computer engineer. I only recommend this due to the nature of the Virus and better safe than sorry. Please let us know how you get on it is good for the other users who are not computer savvy to know.
