No need to delete your first posts, everyone who has read them is supportive. Good for you for getting your feelings out, far better than bottling them up and making yourself feel worse

Thank you purpleshoes. I shouldn't let it get to me and most of the time I don't but sometimes it all gets a bit too much and being alone for a long time makes you feel a bit useless anyway. I think I need more sleep.Might make me feel a bit less fragile. And yes I'll be avoiding certain areas of MSE for a bit.

Sleep well, Toomuchdebt, I hope you wake up feeling better tomorrow. I too went and looked at the previous thread in which you were attacked. Yes attacked, it really was an out the blue bit of aggression. You have NOTHING to be ashamed of, and much to be proud of.

Sorry you had the reaction you did. I go through my sleepless times, and it does make a person a bit more vulnurable to rubbish like that.
I had a time this week when after a sleepless Xmas (trying to sort things out for my kids, getting my kids who have issues to sleep) and a sleepless week afterwards..,(three days icing a Dalek cake for my older son cause it was his 19th B'day) I went a bit doolally. So on my poor son's B'day evening I was barely able to walk.., and just said ok, I'm sorry but I've overdone it, I'm going to bed, with lots of hugs for everyone. But before that I blew up fairly spectacularly over some silly stuff lol. OOops. Fortunately my family were fairly forgiving. And we've all been going to bed at a decent hour since, thank goodness. So life has been a bit easier. Maybe my blow up even did some good, who knows?
I hope you will work on finding a way to help yourself unwind. Its not easy but it will help you so much. You've done a wonderful thing for your children. People just don't realise how every day of just working away at keeping the kids comfortable and happy, doing the daily grind on your own, bringing them up etc is a miracle you've created.0 -
I've just read the thread I think has upset you.
It was (I believe) just one poster who seems to have got hold of a bone (you) and seemed unwilling to let go of it.
You did have support from a couple of posters.
Don't let it get you down.

Like I said in that post, that user was trying to fit you into their opinion of people on benefits so it can support her generalised view. Unfortunately for her this backfired and unfortunately for you it has made you feel even worse, which is probably the exact reaction the user wanted.
