  • Out of interest, has anybody had any experience in offering and having a much lesser amount accepted for the fine to simply stop the hassle of the letters.

How many times do you need it told to you before it sinks in?

    IGNORE THEM!!!!

The ONLY thing you don't ignore is a Letter Before Action (from PE - one from a debt collector can be ignored) or actual court papers. But the chances of anything like this being issued are negligible in Scotland. And after 5 years any such claim would be time-expired anyway.
  • Pazza, I know someone who has ignored the cretins on many occasions and nothing has happened other than getting increasingly dire, and universally toothless threats from this mob and their tame plonkers at DRP.

You do need to read each letter though. What happened when you escalated the complaint to Morrisons' Head Office, not just the store? They cancel these all the time.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I just spoke to the store, they said it was entirely out of their hands. How would I eacalate it to head office?
