Okay, I am already bust, with a couple of days to go... and I've had to guess as well because the money swapped between myself and OH over the weekend so we both made sure we'd paid for equal amounts of things this month has made me lose track.

£8 in my purse, and I'll try not to spend more than that.

I have to get myself something to eat tonight as I'm travelling down to the big smoke - I have the choice of raiding the train station shops to see what YS things I can munch on the way home, or have a midnight feast of veggie noodles.

I have been so disorganized - there would be a time when I'd have a pot of ready-made cous cous to eat on the train to stop myself from spending.

Also, I've bought more processed yoghurts and the like, and fizzy sugar-free pop this month to 'treat' myself instead of raiding my unhealthy free corporate snacks that I still have boxes of.

Well, I've lost 6 and a half lbs in 3 weeks, but eating healthier is more expensive. I know it needn't be... but I'm still getting used to thinking my food through better. I'm pretty sure I'll soon be organised enough to go back to basic yoghurt with fruit, and cereal instead of go-ahead bakes, it's just that I've had different goals this month.

Next month will be a no-pop month!

Next month, I'll make myself some low ProPoint treat bars instead of buying the tiny WW treats!

Next month, I'll make more use of my freezer and stop topping it up with YS things instead of eating what's already there!

As I've already drunk one of my pops for my travel tonight, I'll fill the empty bottle with water. If I'm really thirsty, I can drink that.
    Keep reading books!

    year's food budget £1,920
  • I gave up accounting food this month as the latter half sick and trying to eat has been the objective not the cost. High energy foods and extra wastage seem to cost more.

Small shop spend today (£1.30 for 6 pints of milk for DS1), but I still skewed my figures in favour of long-term stock by opening a 2kg container of pasta sauce (to use with long-term stock pasta for lunches over the next couple of weeks).

Now showing budget to end of today as £220.41, with spends of £113.70
Split for this month now at 61% shop : 39% stock, and 63% : 37% for year to date

Unfortunately I'm planning a shop spend tomorrow which will nudge it back the other way :(

Very big YS haul tonight, hopefully last spend of the month.

£11 on chicken chow mein ready meal, mashed potato, potato dauphinoise, egg fried rice, roast chicken pie, 2x sweet potato & goats cheese pies, 2x macaroni cheese, pack of roast chicken slices, 2 portions of cheese & bacon pasta, 2 casserole steaks, 2x tex mex potato wedges with dip, pack of chicken drumsticks & thighs, pack of mixed seafood, 3x packs of sushi, chorizo paella pot, 6 crumpets, beef & stilton sandwich, salmon & prawn sandwich, 2 cream slices, 12 breakfast muffins, 2x loaves of bread, 1 fruit loaf, chinese black bean beef ready meal, selection of cheeses, sausage & mash ready meal.

Original price for everything would've been £75 :j
