March 2015 Grocery Challenge

Did a weekly shop yesterday and then a sneaky shop today so I've spent up so to speak. Now I have 2 choices, I could manage until the end of March without another shop (this really is possible) or I could admit that I've reduced the budget a bit too far and allow myself some extra funds to use an Aldi voucher at the end of the month? I think I'm going to go for the Aldi voucher as ultimately it'll save me money. I'll be much more strict with myself next month.20p Savers (£22.20/£100)
January NSD (7/12) 3 in a row :j
January grocery challenge (£132.85/£250.00)0 -
Saturday's fruit & veg haul cost £10.98 in Morry's. They had large cauliflowers for 69p -(have decided we don't like the frozen cauli so wont be buying that again) Also brought cabbage, watermelon, oranges, bananas, tomatoes, kiwis, brazil nuts, eggs, newspaper and some oatcakes. Took the total spends to £81.11 so well under budget this month and only 9 days left to go.MARCH £62.38/2500

Why don't you put the aldi shop on Aprils spends as it will be mainly for April or split it between the two. You could always adjust Aprils budget to be a bit more accomadating!Grocery challenge-

Have had a good weekend with no spends on GC at all. Today is also going to be another NSD so now up to 15 NSDs for the month with just a week to go to the end of the month. Hoping to hit 20 NSDs this month!

I went away for the weekend to sunny Wales, so it was a takeaway supper when I got back last night and pop to M&S for healthy honey and porridge breakfast this morning, plus a spend on Strepsils (I have no voice )
Last of the big spenders - that notched me up to the scary £125 total you see before you.
Sensibly, chops have been taken from the freezer for us tea, and I promise to be a sage spender for the rest of the month.Keep reading books!

Have pretty much been eating everything according to the meal plan, for the last week.
Haven't made any further grocery purchases
Have enough of everything Apart from fresh fruit and a few veggies. Have lots of Frozen veg in though.
I look at the menu plan each day and feel a sense of relief, first, that the thinking is already done, second, that we have all the ingredients in.
