March 2015 Grocery Challenge

Hi All
The challenge has been made somewhat easier this month now I'm running my food business again as there is obviously cross over on what I'm buying. So I'm definately under budget on what our personal spends have covered vs what we have bought via the business.
I have still tried to eat as frugally possible. And thrown nothing of use away. Plus used as many coupons, roadkill as I can at the tills.
Looking forward to the next month.

Am going shopping today which will be the last shop of this month. I have had 2 nsds wher not a penny has left my purse to spend on anything. Quite chuffed with myself!
I decided to only get two newspapers for the aldi vouchers this month because although I could have easily spent £120, we are trying to run stock downs and I really wanted to be under budget. Feels quite strange!Grocery challenge-

Reckoning up recent spends on groceries, I'm now up to (i think) £198 for mArch grocery spends. But a lot of that, like the cheese etc, will see us through April and into May, so not too bad at all really. Loads stuff still in freezer and cupboards too. So, though I haven't got any fresh fruit in ( I have tinned though), I don't think I should need to buy any further groceries for at least the next week.
Least, I hope so. So, under predicted budget by £52 at this time.

being honest i know that i've exceed the 120 budget, at least by 30 but ive learned a lot. food spending is my only real frivolous out going having culled clothes, skin care and house of Fraser shopping.
45 in tesco. it was cheaper than aldi. admittedly it was all value items, except fish and coffee. 26 in aldi earlier in week. (some of that was non grocery items for cook wares.)0 -
Haven't spent any more on groceries since we hit the full amount - trying to keep it that way until the end of the month
I think we should be ok if I get a little creative! We have enough meat, it's just veg that's getting a little low.

My total for the month was £202.80 so a wee bit over budget but got a lift to the nearest big town and spent a lot in Home Bargains - tins etc to stock up the store cupboard. The freezers are well stocked and the total also included all cleaning stuff and toiletries. So am happy with that. Next month we have a few days away so will be able to get to a Waitrose so will come home with the car boot full of loads of essentials. I am making up the shopping list now. Love Waitrose and only manage to get there about twice a year. Wish they would open a shop in Aberdeen or Inverness. :T0
