£5.69 spent yesterday on YS pizzas x 3 and YS spring onions x 2.
Not lookng good for me to say its only the 12th of the month. Knew last month was a fluke at £60 under .... however, I relied mostly on tiny shops locally (mostly YS) and not many big shops. This month i've reverted backwards and it obviously doesnt work!!

OS Grocery challenge: £25 a week
  • Online shop has arrived. Total of £35.62. This now means I'm standing at £262.05/£500. I know this takes me over half already, but I have enough meat to last the month from the meat factory. I have loads of stuff put away for holidays and I've got all of my easter eggs in (I needed almost 20).

NSD today and tomorrow. Working so won't have time to spend any money! Lol.

    Morning All :)

I need to buy some bin bags today, but that should be all. I am trying to find some new hot vegan meals that are not based on tomato sauces.

So spending an hour or so searching the internet :)

We need milk, ham, jam and small wraps.

Coming up to needing (but not desperately) toilet roll (total budget sucker now we don't get it from Makro!) but I'm going to leave that until it is an urgent need (we still have 3/4 rolls so not going to run out tomorrow ;) )

I'm going to nip to the supermarket on my lunch break - have to drive to whichever I choose but can't decide between asda or morrisods...think I'll go morrisons :) Then report back

Wannalot - I keep a spread sheet with categories like fruit & veg, dairy, meat & fish, tins & packets, bread, junk foods, drinks and non foods and try to keep the junk to the least amount. So far this year it has been £14.47 and £12.82 not too bad but could be a lot better in fact seeing it wrote down am going to try to get it down to firstly £10 and then half that before much longer. So far in March it totals £2.72 It is mostly crisps to be honest as neither of us can resist them where as chocolate etc we can leave alone.
Good luck everyone and hello and welcome to any new comers.

    Another NSD today.

Another small shop today of £16.06 bringing my total for the month to £134.07/£250. This seems quite high to me for only 2weeks of the month - not sure doing a big shop at the beginning of the month and then smaller shops the rest of the month is going to work for me but we'll see come the end of the month.

Also now up to 8 NSDs.

I went to morriods; I bought 2 cravendale 4pinters. I don't usually buy cravendale however the blue top is only for wonder bairn and the green top is for me/bf but we use far less now I'm not home all day every day (there's milk at work for tea etc) so I spent the little bit extra in the hope it will last a little longer!

I also got the ham, small wraps and jam. Bf requested hot cross buns so I picked him some up and was naughty and got some sweets for my drawer at work.

All in I spent 8.42 which leaves me £1.49 to last until the 25th. We should only need milk though (89p) and maybe a 50p loaf which would leave me 2p in the budget haha!

I have a calendar for April in front of me and I'm marking days where I don't have bf to feed and what days wonder bairn needs lunches left etc then I will try and do a rough meal plan (it's quite at work can you tell?!

4.59 spend on yeast, doughnuts, biscuits and flowers. Ok so none of it essential. But flowers were only daffs and biscuits and doughnuts were to take round to friends to go with our cuppa so not for us exactly! Also bought some other stuff but Easter eggs, pressies and hubby's running drinks come out of another budget!
