P-coone survey done this morning which should result in £3, which will take me to £11 in there, will request a £5 Am@zon voucher today anyway.

Got the £11.30 from p-base into the bank, but have sent that to everydayCC instead of doing my 50/20/20/10 on it, but I think I might be OK on that now, will check after the weekend. Hopefully then will be able to resume my percentage splits. Currently have £3.63 towards an OP on Sunday.

Lots of brain power going into how we source another car with no pennies. I have managed to adjust the budget to give us an extra £107 per month and I could probably stretch this to £130..

I budget £60 a week at the moment for food, so if I stretch our food week by 1 day to 8 days, it's 6 less £60 I need to budget over the year, so that works out to £30 a month, me and DH will take £10 less a month, £4 pinched off the bill budget and the rest from the DFW payment gives us £107. Plan is to go and look at cars tomorrow. I think whatever happens, we need to start putting money aside for car replacement, it's a known quantity, we need them for work, so best we actually do something about it.

Have a to-do list as long as my arm between now and early evening when I pick kids up who are on a School trip today, work, personal stuff and college work.

Decided not to apply for the job this time, DH thinks its too much right at this time, although the money would come in handy.

I'll probably be on and off here all day as Friday is usually my thinking day with money.

I got the 0% CC, so CC3 arrives with £950 on it, but at least it's 0% and I can adjust the figure for CC1 when it updates.

It's updated actually, so signature amended. £3569.83 on CC1 and £950 on CC3 now. Amended my 2016 goals to reflect it was my aim to pay £1500 off debt on the CC's rather than specifying which CC it was. So this is my note to say it was basically starting debt of £4500 on CC's, so I still want to hit at least £2999 or under owing on whatever CC's I have at the end of the year! I'll be on CC10 by the end of all of this.

Looking at a few figures, just got quite excited that this month, we will go under £110k owing on the morgage, under £3500 owing on CC1 - I do like these mini goals of going under a significant figure - sad that I am!

That's a great food shop technique, 7 days instead of 8. I reckon we could stretch that to 10 days, thus knocking off 1 whole shop per month. Obviously we'd have to add maybe £10 max to the shop, but that in turn would save £50. Great thinking to be had...oh and convincing Mrs SJ may be a struggle as she likes her Friday morning food shop in between nursery drop and pick up.

£3 credited to P-cone from this morning, so another £5 am@zon voucher requested.

Sold another item hopefully for £40, should get the pennies Monday so that's a result!

With the littlies at School late, I've just had a bath, my first in absolute months and months.

Sale order turned up and I don't like what I ordered so £40 will be back into my account when I take the stuff back tomorrow!

Morning, had one of those wakes up where you groan and think ' work, oh no' and then remember it's Saturday - result.

Plan is a quiet ish weekend, washing, cleaning and doing school projects with the kids. Will go and look at cars today and see if we can find something, also need to pop to a little town in the opposite direction to take the sale item back.

Need to do a food shop later, will be for 8 days - so need to get crafty about meals.

    Afternoon DF0D,

Have you been out looking for cars. Not sure how much you're wanting to spend etc but I'm sure theres lots of options out there for you.

A lot of garages seem to try and hard sell this PCP now and tbh when we bought DH's car you seemed to get a much better deal with dealer contributions towards and other benefits. I never wanted to get into the changing your car every 3 years though as you get into the cycle then don't you! You might also be able to get one with no road tax and things to save on the budget in other places.

    Have a lovely weekend xx

Car shopping, I dread it! I try and do Internet research then motivate myself for a big garage visit and box it off on one go!
