  • Bit sad tonight, little boy is tired from School and has been a bit rough with others and rude. I commented in the diary he has to say we have talked to him and hoped he had apologised and I got a bit of a snotty response back that makes me feel like he's the worst child ever. I know he's no angel, but I know he is doing this because he's so tired - you all know how early he gets up. I'm not saying what he did was right either, it's just what was written and how it was..

So feeling like the worst Mummy in the world tonight.

Sorry off topic, but don't really care about money and debt at this point in time :-(

  • Oh no is that at school DF0D. You really are not the worst mummy in the world and I'm sure he's not the most naughtiest boy either. I do sometimes wonder if people think before they write/speak at schools. Are you off tomorrow, maybe pop in and have a word with them about it xx

  • Adapting to school and different years and teachers is so hard on little un's.I'm sure there's plenty of other issues with other kids too. Our school is so tough with discipline that reception and year 1 are so tough on them.

Isn't he only 4??!!! That's madness! I've been quite shocked by some of the things my 4yo nephew's teacher has said to the class. Apparently she said to one child, "If you're going to act like a baby you can go to the nursery". They're 4!!!!! They are babies! My Mum was saying that when she started school (at 5) they still had naps in the afternoon.

I went to visit the local school this week and came away feeling really good about it. Reception is very similar to nursery and even Year 1 isn't a huge difference. None of the teachers looked scary and the kids seemed so relaxed. I wish all schools were like that. You can't expect such young children to be completely compliant all of the time, and actually I'm not sure it's a good sign. I was a quiet compliant kid and career-wise achieved nothing! My brothers were both little b*ggers and are both doing brilliantly.

Your little boy will be ready for the employee factory when he's ready. Please don't feel sad and it's certainly nothing you have done wrong. All little boys play rough and it takes a few years before they understand being polite. If the school have a problem, well, that's their problem and don't let them make you feel rubbish.

My baby (he's 4) started school this week he's so unbelievably tired he cried all the way to school today. Screamed when I left him and has kicked off all evening. All totally out of character. It's heartbreaking. I feel so cruel sending him when he's soooo little. Xx

Question is which one.. at the moment it's HSbeeC or Halif@x - any thoughts anyone?

  • I have 3 accounts with Hfax for their lovely £5 rewards. I tried to open a HSBC advantage account but after 3 weeks of waiting for docs and i told them to shove it!!

TSB have been good and i have 2 current accounts with them for the 2k @ 5%. They also offer cashback on £100 worth of contactless payments per month. Accounts set up very quickly too.
