  • You do so well on survey sites, the only one that seems to give me frequent surverys is 1poll! yougov rarely invite me! Well done on reaching target, great savings!
They are so up and down. 1poll is not loving me at the moment. Slow painful progress on there.

  • Need to remember to put the meter reading in this month as I don’t trust the energy idiots to actually take a reading. Surprisingly we are still no where near the estimated reading they used last month so any bill will be negative this month but I think we will go over by bill time. It’ll be a small one though.

It’s been surprising watching how much solar energy is generated this month. When it was really hot and sunny , not so much was generated as apparently the panels don’t like extreme heat whereas yesterday on a cloudy ish day we sat at -94p a minute for most of it. Gives me some hope for the winter.

You've done well to clear that big bill on bits of money coming in. We have a smart meter but so many people seem to mistrust them, I have a feeling our energy company make it up as they go along as they have messed about with our direct debit a few times. I'm just topping the account up based on what they said I'd use (although they take less than this each month).

I did the reading today and it was below the amount they estimated last months bill at so it should be a negative amount owing this month.

Let’s see if they actually use the reading I put in.

Thanks Cath. I do like our smart meter but it’s at the wrong tariff and the energy idiots seem unable to change it.

  • Well. It’s not like we didn’t know it was coming but to see 80% increase in energy confirmed is eye watering.

Not feeling much satisfaction of doing the monthly money juggle today at all. Bit of back pay for DH for his pay rise makes up for it a bit.

Going to sit and look at the figures now and do the monthly round ups of figures and progress.

Well the energy bill did sneak over the estimated reading they took last month so £3.60 to pay this month. I’ll enjoy it before the craziness hits. Lesson learnt though to submit the reading without fail. Our average daily usage though with a full month of solar panels was £1.

Reached payout on YouGov so that’s been requested.

  • I have reached out to a local company to ask about air source heat pumps and solar panels, we have gas bottles and its all making me feel quite sick. Nice to know that the panels are doing something! Glad you are still on target to hit your goals

Another 1% of the house owned by you!  That's great!  And wow, £1 is your average daily useage?  Your solar panels are definitely the biz.
