More productive this afternoon in that Pr0filc had a flurry, so I earned about £4.50, also up to £42.70 on Y0ugov and did a £3 survey from Pcone which I've requested. Randomly cashback from TCB for an insurance policy from January tracked and went to payable so £29.30 also requested for payment. PPI cheque of £22.30 paid in so should have £54.60 ready for OP in the next day or so which is an unexpected bonus.

Posted a fleabay item at the weekend and just anticipating hassle with it from the buyer, can't put my finger on why, but hoping there isn't!

You're making great progress over here. Glad you seem happy with your decision to stay put with the house and I am a firm believer in that everything happens for a reason.

Re: food shopping. We don't do ' big shops' and shop for a few days at a time. We eat very little meat and our meals are repetitive but as we all enjoy them we don't mind. Re: time flexibility, dh does the shopping on his way home from work going between Mr S and @ldi which are right next to each other. Keeping the fruit bowl full is a challenge though and will be harder now it's the holidays.

We are on a five year fixed, about 9 months into that. We can OP 10% as well. That's interesting that they need to be over £1000 to pay them, a pain though!

It is a bit yeah, but we have given them 5k over 4 years  so I guess it helped us get them in when determined. Would prefer to do smaller payments though!

How do you keep track of all your overpayments? Do you ask for a new balance each time or do you work it out yourself?

I just keep a running total in my diary of payments in that month and I can log into my account every day to see the current balance. They also have an overpayment calculator for when I get bored so I can tinker about with figures. :j

I agree re the fruit bowl, your way is how I would like to do it, but living where we do, it just isn't easy to pop into places! Thinking cap on!

So cheque cleared, Cashback in, pcone payment in and then a cheeky fleabay sale to make an OP of £55.06 bringing July to £226.23.

Had a window company out tonight, it's so funny the figures they start at and what they end up at. It was a really worthwhile exercise as it's made us clear on what we want to do. We are going to get the internal walls taken out first to see exactly what light we have and then make a decision about the windows / doors. Builder due this week fingers crossed!

exciting house renvations :D We moved to downsize last year to 3 bed 1920's semi, taken walls down, put bifolds in to make the kitchen diner, and currently we are about to complete the bathroom job :D We have done ours on a budget... strangely our friend and local builder cost us £1200 more than the local window/building company. We also lost a friend through the process. However house is coming together nicely and changing the way we live is lovely and comforting even though there is currenly a mess :D

Thanks! You have inspired me to join the mortgage supplier's online service - I can now see my live balance, which is great. Its £200 more than I had thought though haha.

I wonder just how live their price is, presumably its the very latest and more accurate than mine :rotfl:

Mine is usually two days behind in respect of showing OPs but randomly updates with my monthly payment two days before they take it!

Sorry you lost a friend, but so nice to hear of good news stories with house renovations. I really can't wait for it to get going, providing the quotes are ok!
