Well car is in the garage for the week (good job DH is off this week) we have a used car warranty for 12 months so it's still within that and just hoping the problem is covered, they are getting an insurance assessor in to evaluate the repair as it's 'very costly' in their words. Hopefully should hear today / tomorrow that they are going to repair it.
Grandparents arrived and as usual bought stuff for the littlies as well as full money boxes for them. Going to go and open bank / building society accounts with them before we go back to School as we have said to them from now on, they have to save half of any money they get and they can spend half.
Off to the beach today. Looking blooming gorgeous out there.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

I hope the car gets fixed ok and its all covered in the warranty.
Great idea about the savings, not sure who you bank with but when I opened new accounts last year for my 2, I had to make an appointment with the bank, just a heads up as I think it was about a 3 week wait.0 -
Thanks PWPS, I'll bear that in mind!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Spending half and saving half of money gifts for children is a good idea. I may do that with mine from now on as they are getting to the age where they appreciate we work hard for our money. I'm still struggling to work out what to do with their matured bonds.

Your holidays sound so lovely! We had hoped to get to the beach a few times but so far the weather has been rubbish here! Only just given DD her tent for the garden, which it turns out is a ruddy nightmare to put up!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%
