I just booked a holiday using my tablet, on the beach. when I printed out the confirmation I noticed the dates had changed from 2nd june to 3rd febuary, I contacted on the beach customer service and explained what had happened, they told me to choose where and when I wanted to go and someone would contact me within 24 hours, 6.04 that evening I get a message stating the hotel I wanted was not available, I checked with on the beach website for an available hotel, chose a hotel and messaged back.
I have had no reply, I have rang this morning and customer service told me the original holiday has been booked, wrong dates I don't want to go to turkey in febuary, I have paid a deposit of 550 on credit card and balance to pay.customer service did tell me that tablets do auto.fill which can cause problems, has anybody any surgestions,

Have you paid in full for the flights?
If so which airline is it and do you have an airline booking reference?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
only paid deposit through on the beach , have got booking reference,0

Have you booked a true package holiday operated by a tour operator or a flight+transfers+accommodation trip?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

yes booked complete holiday with on the beach, dates were wrong , now they say I have to pay for flights and transferes in full,as it is less than 28 days before I travel, and if I want to cancel it will cost me more, so a loss of £700.00 not good0

Unfortunately your best bet may be to try to salvage the flights and perhaps change them to a time that suits you, but that depends on the airline. Do you know which airline the flights are with?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

in theory some times dates get autofilled on forms but the date would be todays date, which isnt the 3rd Feb its highly unlikely your tablet would just decide a random date to autofillLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
flights were with Thomson, and tablet changed to cheaper holiday thus altering date0

On the beach is set to show dates 7 days from todays date normally so it would have automatically switched to a Jan date not a feb date. It's unlikely that your tablet would have just changed by itself, and more likely that you have managed to swipe and change it by mistake and without realising.
If you had priced up the 2nd June and viewed a price, did you not realise that the price was different when entering your card details?
Unfortunately On the Beach don't sell 'package holidays' so there's not a great deal you can do other than speak very nicely to them. The 'deposit' of £550 is actually the cost of your flights, they are paid for upfront and would probably be non refundable.
Do you have a Thomson ref number for your flights on your flight voucher? If so take a look at their website here and give them a call. They say that amendments can be made if more than 2 days before travel, but you will need to pay any difference in price. Remember your holiday is not booked with Thomsons though and they won't have any control over what On the Beach choose to charge you as an admin fee for making any changes though if you must do it through them.Lea0 -
You say that you paid by credit card. Personally I would contact the card company, and say very clearly that the wrong dates were booked because of a technical problem with the OTB website. Furthermore, you reported the problem very rapidly and initially they promised to make the correction, but then proceeded to make a booking that you had told them was not correct. Under these circumstances the card company MIGHT be able and willing to claw back your money.0

Why would it be a technical issue? It is likely to be an issue at the OP's end and the user would have been asked to confirm the dates several times before booking.
And it is likely that the booking was created with the hotel once she hit 'book' - an email is sent to the supplier immediately.
If she does do a chargeback, OTB will be asked to defend this, and will simply need to provide evidence of the customer journey booking the wrong dates and she will lose the chargeback
It's not a great idea.
OP - ask for screenshots of you booking the wrong date. If it proves you did book the wrong date, try and get them to reduce whatever admin fees they will charge for the changes.
I don't work for OTB by the way!0
