You are so used to IE that you will now need to get used to using the far superior and more secure Firefox browser.
This page here explains how to import your bookmarks from IE.
Javascript is required by many webpages and this page here explains how to enable it but it can also let unwanted rubbish onto your system, so don't simply enable anything and learn about NoScript for much increased security!
You will now need to learn how to make the best use of your Firefox add-on NoScript see here
It is a very long time since I started using Firefox but you simply need to take one step at a time until you familiarise yourself with it. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Right, try again.
#
Wrote 2 posts, necessary because at 'send' point, text was gone, saying 'message too short'.
#
Happened again, so will try for 3rd, then give it up as bad job.
I started, then as now, by thanking you for such patient, steady advice. Be assured, I never expect a no effort/instant fix anything, so I don't whinge - not in make-up.
MF feels 'clean', if that doesn't sound silly and I like being asked for graded access to pages/sites, so I'm on the nursery slopes of MFlearning curve.
After much difficulty [N&P's inconsistent wrecking-machine page] managed to book another quick ferry to buy copies of CharlieHebdo on Wednesday.
Getting this far and thanking you has taken all day.
Will now copy this effort, in case it ends up with the others....in the same black-hole rubbish pit .

On this site you need to enable moneysaving expert.com and ajax.googleapis.com for the site to work correctly. None of the other domains in the NoScript list need to be enabled when you click on the NoScript icon. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Hope I've done so this time, espresso. Was just lobbing another infinite Merci your way....:-} but hadn't copied it before obeying that instruction, so, guess where it DIDN'T end up?

When using NoScript, the first time I visit a site (that I know and want to see properly) I allow scripting for the actual site address. I then refresh and see what isn't working and look at which other addresses are wanting script access, and judge accordingly whether to allow.
I assume you've noticed you have a choice to always allow or temporarily allow?

Indeed bod. That was one of my pleasures cited in 1st lost post, this sway held as Goddess:-)
Hope you had a marvellous half-century celebration.

Yesterday in Paris was in every way magnificent and nothing will ever take from me the grain of sand that I was in that great human[e] tide.

I have to close this day with this, again:

Hello espresso and others who have helped me previously on this:
- all back again.
#
For several days, I've noticed slow loading again, more often than not with Times New Roman appearing in skeletal page layout, with lines, and columns momentarily, before taking on usual familiar appearance.
Didn't like to bother anyone again so soon, but this morning, all the singing dancing stuff is back, this time with music+voice+visuals: 'Thankyou for being a Tiscali Customer[I'm not] Enter our Survey....' etc.etc.
I'm getting the Scripts Partially Allowed options msg at foot of every page.
Between forum posts, there is a 5cm blank dropspace, with: dealster ad / close.
Hitting the Thanks button brought up Wolfy Tonk Easy Bet and something else I shut before really looking, lots of dark tone robotic imagery.
Also, when closing down over the last few nights, I'm aware it's taken 2-3 hours, with 'programme updates' option appearing again in the close down box.
espresso - for now, I intend repeating your 1st instructions.
Hope this is both logical and sensible.
Any further advice is always welcome - thankyou all again.

For what it's worth, very tech-savvy Vicar and husband[and tertiary student children] are also experiencing low/no connectivity in a big way, much worse in the last 2-3 months. Added my ha'porth, simply because it is now a known local feature and Vicarage must also be in the affected curve/pathway.
###
In MFExtensions, I found Dealstter 1.7 and tPerfiectcuoupon 1.3, which I have disabled. Shall I remove them? No idea where they came from but assume they were responsible for latest muck.
I have checked all Recently Blocked Sites, put them on Disable.
All is faster and clean again, so won't go back to
I have yet to see the helpful option 'Make Page Permissions Permanent', 2nd point down this NSA page.
