  • Do you have a Paypal Account?

I use a Tesco Internet saver set up to take £1 each month & manually withdraw £1 each month via Paypal.

No, you can't do that. A direct debit is a payment pulled by a business account.
No, a DD can be pulled by a personal account too, such as a Tesco savings account, as discussed above and on numerous other threads!

Easiest is, as above, get your wife to open a Tesco savings account and set up a small DD to pull money from Halifax to Tesco.

It is really easy to do.

The same Tesco account can be used for DDs from multiple accounts.

Worth doing. I have 2.K per month salary paid into a 4% Clydesdale current account and end up with around £3.50 a month interest. Halifax pays me £5 a month for doing very little!

I have my mortgage & TV License paid from it. I have a standing order going in each month just to cover those payments and it's enough to qualify for the reward. Easy!
