In my neck of the woods it's "ach, away and bile yer heid". Personally I love this phrase and use it quite often.

I also say it out loud quite a lot when I'm reading this thread :)

Although this thread is nearly at it's end I'm sure someone will start another. There's still far too much SNP bashing to be done! It will never end but it seems to keep quite a few people entertained enough to contribute.

More than once I've read comments complaining about how boring it is yet they keep on reading.......

Comments like that always bring to mind Tommy Cooper's joke about 'it hurts very time I do that'.

Yes why miss out on the next GERS report in March. Hamish will be gagging to post about that. Or this Friday's D day for the Fiscal Framework --- >Scots sponging off the English taxpaper if the Treasury back down. SNP don't really want new powers/grievance culture/independence if they don't back down etc etc.

Sigh, just as well I come here to relax and clear my mind. A battle of wits in fact. ;) Lets all cheer ourselves up.. the with the cheery news the Tory revival in Scotland seems to have stalled.

Ps I also use bile yer heid a lot. So does my husband, he loves the word 'heid'. And it's very amusing hearing it said in a Pompey accent.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

I think your Prime Minister, Mr Cameron, had it nailed on about Twitter.

I didnae hear what he had to say ... Twitter is a bubble though, should never be taken seriously or relied upon ... but it is funny and you can get wee snippets which can lead you on to digging deeper and finding out more about things if you were interested.

It's a place where people manage to get right nasty with just 140 characters, so they develop the ability to get right to the point, I don't have that ability and doubt I ever will do, but I do find some of the things on it hilarious, nats frothing at the mouth at things and Yoons frothing at the mouth at things ... meanwhile the agitators sit back and laugh.

Don't ever take it seriously ... that would be a mistake :)

But do find the humour if you can ... and the Rowlings law one I found quite funny :)
